* Man, I....knew this day would come, but at the same time - it felt like it never would. But now that it's here, I'm getting kind of teary.
...Okay, a lot teary. Leave me alone!!
Thank all of you so much for playing in the silly little Murdergame me and Maple started. We honestly couldn't have done this without all of you, and I have met so many wonderful friends and people through it.
While not everyone who played in our rounds played in the final one, each and every person was important in helping us see this whole thing to it's completion. No matter what, I thank you all as much as I can.
I learned so many things - and there was a lot of ups and downs at times, but...in the end, there's no way I could regret this experience, or what I've done.
SCP was a game started on a desire to see new things in this kind of short-term game, and to let players have greater control over the plot and story. Though we may have failed in spots here and there, I hope at the end everyone can walk away from SCP feeling like they made a difference, and that they had fun.
In the end, that's all I ever really wanted - to see people have fun, and enjoy what's happening.
I've been able to fufill so many of my own personal story and mechanics dreams that I almost feel a little empty....nah, just kidding. You know me! I've still got a bunch of ideas, even now. Maybe someday in the future I'll run that HGW short term game...?
For now, I think I'm going to take a bit of a break from modding and focus on personal projects, but I know I probably won't be able to stay away from short term games for long.
I guess I should wrap this up with...if you have an idea, just go for it. Sometimes, it might lead you to having a 6 round murdergame spanning two years! ....Well, I don't know if that's really a good thing, but it's something that made me happy, so.
