[katherine had never been an early riser but from hearing alarm buzz from the tablet beside her, it wakes her up rather abruptly. she turns it off while quickly noticing that she comforts of what appears to be a hotel room and under normal circumstances it would have been a nice change of pace for her but from the fact she doesn't even remember checking in, it makes her feel slightly unsettled over the situation.
it is almost ironic how her words took a literal turn on her to be million of miles away from mystic falls and klaus mikaelson but whether the latter was true, she wasn't sure and it almost felt too good to be true and luck hardly seemed to be in her favor in that aspect of her life and actually obtaining her freedom. being in her room wasn't getting her any answers so she opts to leave and explore her surroundings, taking everything in and debating her next move already.
katherine pierce was nothing if not a survivor so first things first she had to make sure this was klaus free zone, maybe adopt the facade of her doppelganger to get the information she needs and check if anyone else she knows got dragged here too because while she was worried for her life, she knew she had to do whatever it takes to make sure that if klaus was here, that he never gets close to her even if it means somehow finding a way to make a deal with the whoever brought her to this place. she heads towards the breakfast area and though she doesn't really need to eat that type of food specifically, she could at least pretend and mingle with the other guests] I think I must have had one too many last night since I don't even remember checking in to this place.
[she huff a laugh, shaking her head while looking slightly sheepish at her own admission just moments ago. she picks up her plate though and starts to glance at the assortment of food being offered on the tables before she turns he attention back to whoever she is talking with] Have you been to this resort before? I don't think I have ever seen a breakfast spread quite like this before.
ii. RESORT EXPLORING.
[unlike most people katherine didn't have anything against staying in the resort for a free one week stay since discovering that klaus wasn't close to being in her vicinity. she takes full advantage of this as much as she can given she hasn't always had the luxury for things like this. katherine has always been a little uneasy, never resting because of her life on the run so now that she is getting away from all that and klaus as well, she puts bikini and goes on to relax a little and indulge in soaking in the jacuzzi for a bit]
iii. RESORT MURDER.
[katherine knew that something like this was inevitable as the week went on and they learned their purpose for being here. someone was dead and unlike most people she wasn't technically phased by the news that someone was brutally murdered but that doesn't mean she won't act the part of being horror stricken by this turn of events] This is— I can't believe that someone among us would do something so cruel like this.
Anyone have any ideas or clues we can start to go off on figuring this out?
