[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

Even after there's two hints dropping her name, goddamn it. The reason I was targeted was because of her.

More than likely, yeah. The Jorogumo didn't seem surprised when I told him I had a role. Niijima was one of the people I told that I had one, so.

[He's doubtful. Akira won't want to suspect her at all, and the Barghest probably knows to be more careful around him.]

It would be good if they could at least get one.

Makoto might have to wait until another week.

That might be dangerous. The Barghest might go after Kurusu next. Because what better way to fuck him up after someone from back home has died than have your very best friend kill you?

. . . well, I guess they could go after Arisato too if we're thinking about that angle.

Yeah...

And if she does that, they'll both probably die, and then the Barghest will just move to someone else.

[He hates this? This is all awful. His head just sinks the more he thinks about it.]

A part of me really, really hopes there's a protective role in this game to save Kurusu's ass because having them both die? And for nothing? It's not good.

I think Minato's the only one alive who knows Akira will die and take out whoever kills him. Not like it's easy to tell anyone that, either.

[ Her voice is a little quiet, conflicted, even. She's extremely concerned about everyone but Akira the most because. GODDAMN IS HE HAVING A REALLY, REALLY BAD DAY ]

It would be hard. Really difficult. It'd be hard... to trust anyone with that information. Especially your friends.

Well, I think he wanted to use himself as bait, too.

Because he thinks it's okay if he dies and takes someone out with him.
