GRAVEYARD
[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.
Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.
'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'
He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.
It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

[ Her words are immediate and clipped, and she's still not looking at him as she says it. ]
Do you know anything about his collar that could be useful? I'm going to talk to a few people. See if they can help.

[His voice is firm on that.]
....I do, but...you might not like the answer.
[He hesitates, but then...]
...there's spikes on the inside. sharp spikes. They cut into his skin if he moves the wrong way...or starts to transform. The pain apparently keeps him in check.

[ She frowns a little bit herself, just imagining it and grimacing. ]
You're right. I don't like the answer. Is there... no other feasible way to suppress it?

[But really, what's an arm to save Atsushi???]<
...And...I'm not sure. Last time, I just hit the tiger on the head with my Zanpakuto and knocked him out - though now that I think about it, Zangetsu might have somehow forcibly dragged Atsushi to the surface. Or he just changed back when he fell unconscious.

Why are you so certain that they wouldn't kill you? And just because it'd hurt doesn't mean that I won't be upset. [ She might cry if he gets hurt, okay... ] Huh. It really makes me wonder how that works...

[Y...yep...]
And it's complicated, but - it's why I wanted him to try and talk to his Tiger. I couldn't control Zangetsu until I sat down and tried to understand him - and accept him as me.
I think it's the same for Atsushi.

You talked to him about this already, I assume? [ Because that's what it sounds like. ] I don't get it entirely, but like would something like meditation work? Just focus and try to think about it...?
[ This is what happens when you talk to a normal person about abilities. ]

For me, it was realizing that even if he was violent and crude....he was me. In some way, I think the tiger is also Atsushi, just maybe not as straightforward as Zangetsu was for me.
