GRAVEYARD

[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

...Well, for now, let's focus on what we can do and review the situation. Is there a variety of white blood cells, or are they just the basic ones?

[...Will we have to fight more Eosinophils....? Or even multiple at once...?]

The basic ones - there's a lot, but they're all pretty weak, like I said.

[He appreciates Ellie trying to focus on what's important, here.]

I didn't see any others, which makes sense. The Brain's pretty delicate - so you don't want a bunch of different types mucking around in there.

You said that things are constantly moving around in there, too... Is it just the white blood cells, or is something else besides Gabe there, too?

[This might be a clue as to what's going on with the brain, after all.]

No, it's - It looks a lot like a bunch of darkened hallways, but it just keeps going - sometimes you turn around and the hallway's gotten longer, or there's a door there that definitely wasn't there before. That kind of thing - does that make sense?

It does, though I can't say I've heard of a situation where labyrinths shift while people inside of them. My experience says that normally once someone's inside them, they tend to become a lot more static...

[Which just raises the question of what's going on even further...]
