[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

she's still in tears when she hears his voice and she's kind of unresponsive and shaking so there aren't any words for him just yet ]

[ That actually catches her off guard enough that she actually raises her head a little and finally looks at him, and her eyes widen and her voice cracks, just a little as she speaks, even as her voice shakes. ]

... Emiya?

But it's going to be okay, Inaba. We'll be okay.

You can't just say that! [ And now her shaking voice turns into something more akin to frustration and anger. ] Why the hell are you here too?! And you can't say that it's going to be okay—!!

It looks like they weren't satisfied with just one victim this time around.

[Even with Inaba's outburst, his voice remains calm.]

But I've died before, remember? Things looked bad back then as well, but we made it through anyway. I know we can do it again.

[dereban]

I guess not, but-- I'm sure I fucked up. I fucked up because I was too weak and I'm- I was no good.

[ Inaba's voice is still shaking even as she speaks. ]

Don't say that. It's been rough for you, being the Inquisitor, right? I'm sure you did everything you could.

[dereban]

I don't know. . . I don't feel like I did everything that I could.

What do you think you should have done?

I don't know. Maybe I should have. . . closed myself off like I should have, not said anything to anyone, shut myself out.

I don't think that would've helped anyone, least of all you. This is a game about trust, right? We can't make any progress if we don't take a risk and rely on others.

[dereban]

I know. But I was never good at trust to begin with. That's what got me here, after all.

I'm pretty sure someone that I told is one of them. The one that killed me had that sort of expression...

Who did you tell? And who was it that killed you?

Kurusu, Niijima, Arisato and Atsushi. And... it was Rean that killed me.

Well, that fucking sucks. I hope they can find that out. I did write down notes about who I told once I knew that I was going to be awake after midnight, just in the off chance that would help everyone during the trial.
