[When your character dies, however that may be, they will feel themselves floating. For a moment or two they will linger at the site of their death, hovering just above everyone, watching.

Then they will feel a pull and they will get tugged all the way to the studio, through a wall, through the hall, through a door.

The place they end up in looks to be a backstage area. There is an area for storing supplies, a coat rack full of empty prinny costumes, a lounge area, and a place to rest. All of these areas are marked by a green border between the described rooms and the doors that go elsewhere. You will see prinnies come and go, hurrying around as they do their work for the day. But within those borders, some of the prinnies will take off their suits, revealing the human souls within. Men, women, old, young, there is a large mix. They are all very dead, though, and seem used to being dead.

And among all of the dead is one living girl, one who seems to be running the show behind the set. She can be found giving instructions to prinnies and telling them where to put things, but she will always take time to give everyone who arrives the same warning:]

Hi there! I'm Marona, and this is the backstage area. There's a lot to do yet, so if you could help us out I would really appreciate it.

All the areas with the green on the floor are safe to be in as ghosts. Your souls won't get pulled away as long as you stay in the safe areas. If you want to go outside of there, though, you have to put on a prinny suit. And if you do that, you have to follow the rules of the prinnies: no killing anyone, follow the orders you're given by the living, and try not to blow up too much.

If you have any questions, I'll be here! But you can come and go as you like. Just don't give Mr. Dazai too much trouble, okay?

[Holy FUCK does Azula fucking hate prinnies so just give her a moment when she finds herself floating and absolutely surrounded by them.

When she recovers, she'll feel around her head and chest to see if there are any bullet holes or whatever, but then there's Marona and okay. The explanation is . well. She'll wrap her head around that in a bit once the surprise has worn off a little. Until then, she's immediately going:]

I will not help around here! Besides what do you even need my help with? You've already got just the most "delightful" [Quotations audible.] array of servants at your disposal.

[Though she can't quite lie? She's a little shook by what she's learned about the prinnies.]

I thought you might just want something to do. You can stay back here if you don't want to help, but it's going to get boring fast. Plus when the others arrive you'll get to boss them around if you already know what to do.

[momsters]

Mm. A compelling argument.

[At least she's... honest.....]

But that deplorable costume just isn't my style. Why do I have to wear it?

It has my magic in it. My magic is what keeps your soul here in this world, so if you leave the barrier without a costume then you will leave this world entirely.

[ And that's... that's it huh. Chandelier one moment, a ghost next. ]

Can we get a duck costume instead?

[ Completely deadpan. He'll have questions later, definitely, this is just... okay. He's dead. He's never been dead before. It's unsettling. ]

What about a white prinny costume? That's kind of like a duck, right?

White ducks are the best type of duck, too, so this seems like a reasonable compromise.

[ He's... sure negotiating this. That's what being dead is like, huh? He'd say if feels like an out of body experience, but that'd... not really be a surprise, would it? ]

[Yeah, it means being all see-through and glowy and not always being able to touch stuff.]

[ Well, this is service, at least. He'll take it. ]

What we do is follow Dazai's orders, isn't it? Does he know you're bringing us here?

Yep! He's the one who asked me to help. And yeah, just follow his orders when he asks for something. Just like he's playing a role, you guys have to too.

This feels a whole lot like a demotion to me....

[ He's C-rank, don't make him do this!! Nevermind the... being dead. ]

What role is he playing anyway? I'm getting the feeling your presence here is not official.

He's playing the role of 'Dazai'. The real Dazai isn't a very nice person. If he had been running the game, half of you would be dead by now. So 'this Dazai' is pretending to be him, so that he can make the games fairer for all of you.

Oh, but you still died...But we'll get you back when it's over! Since I'm here, I can hold onto all of you until we get some gigais.

Well, thank god. This is the worst possible mission to die on permanently.

[ Smashed by chandelier is not a hero's and this whole containment procedure is a horrible farce. ]

Am I right in assuming the TV viewers shouldn't find out that my soul is still here?

SUNDAY

[On Sunday, one of the prinnies will come running into the room, flailing its stubby arms.]

Dood! Site 4 is in shambles, dood! The outside people totally took over!

[georgeous]

[ Now that... that's bad. George stops what he was doing (wallowing in misery) and turns around to the prinny sharply. ]

Outside people? Which outside people?!

[foundationmods]

[The prinny is flapping its arms wildly now.]

The Foundation Doods! The A-class agent and his henchmen! They came to the site once the show started, to 'oversee' stuff, but then they locked everyone else up and started running it themselves!

[georgeous]

[ Under his breath: ] I hate this job.

[ You can be DEAD and not get a break from superior fuckery. George is sincerely beginning to hope he was a less irritating boss when he led his own organization (he wasn't). ]

So the initial team was a ruse, huh... To lure us into a sense of security when we arrived at the site.

Which A-class agent?

[Another prinny speaks up here.]

Not a ruse! The grumpy, bearded leader was in on this with Dazai and Marona. He was going to help everyone from that side. But now he's locked away and can't help, Dood!

[The first prinny speaks up once more:]

The A-class is someone new. I dunno the name, Dood. He never says it. He goes by 'Boss' or 'Mission Control'.

[georgeous]

[ Is that better or worse? WHO EVEN KNOWS ANYMORE. ]

Do you think Mission Control has any idea that this Dazai is a phony?

He might be beginning to suspect it, because it hasn't been a massacre yet.

[Several of the prinnies seem worried about that point. They can't work off their debs if their employer gets canned, after all.]

Well, good that I got crushed by a chandelier then.

[ Can you feel the sarcasm.... ]

How did you guys get to the outside site? Do we have access as penguins?

Yeah! You can just walk there, it's not far. But take a prinny suit, dood. You'll disappear if you don't wear one.

[The prinnies will also give adequate directions on how to get to site 4, so they could indeed travel there if they wanted to.]
