[When your character dies, however that may be, they will feel themselves floating. For a moment or two they will linger at the site of their death, hovering just above everyone, watching.

Then they will feel a pull and they will get tugged all the way to the studio, through a wall, through the hall, through a door.

The place they end up in looks to be a backstage area. There is an area for storing supplies, a coat rack full of empty prinny costumes, a lounge area, and a place to rest. All of these areas are marked by a green border between the described rooms and the doors that go elsewhere. You will see prinnies come and go, hurrying around as they do their work for the day. But within those borders, some of the prinnies will take off their suits, revealing the human souls within. Men, women, old, young, there is a large mix. They are all very dead, though, and seem used to being dead.

And among all of the dead is one living girl, one who seems to be running the show behind the set. She can be found giving instructions to prinnies and telling them where to put things, but she will always take time to give everyone who arrives the same warning:]

Hi there! I'm Marona, and this is the backstage area. There's a lot to do yet, so if you could help us out I would really appreciate it.

All the areas with the green on the floor are safe to be in as ghosts. Your souls won't get pulled away as long as you stay in the safe areas. If you want to go outside of there, though, you have to put on a prinny suit. And if you do that, you have to follow the rules of the prinnies: no killing anyone, follow the orders you're given by the living, and try not to blow up too much.

If you have any questions, I'll be here! But you can come and go as you like. Just don't give Mr. Dazai too much trouble, okay?

[Atsushi slips himself into a prinny suit to follow him, too concerned about Dazai to pause long enough to do much more than wave frantically to the group with 'get some drinks and snacks!' before he's taptaping out, trying to slow the man down as best as he can on peg legs.]

Dood, wait! Don't just leave like that, you're going to make us poor hosts Dood.

[ Being dead has honed Alcor's ability to make tea in a flash because apparently this is what the afterlife is about? Or something. So he's only a minute or so behind Atsushi with some green tea (it's ceremonial matcha may as well pull out the nice stuff for Mr. Mysterious over here). ]

Despite how busy we have been with studio repairs, it's important not to forget basic hospitality etiquette dood. [ Want some matcha MC? Also Alcor is flying because he can't roll with tea. ]

[MC stops when he hears the two prinnies, and he turns to look at them. He seems to be considering them closely, or maybe even staring right into their souls.

But after a moment of that he smiles a genuine not-scary smile and crouches down to be on their level.]

I suppose I would be a bad guest if I didn't give you all a chance to make me tea, huh?

[Hi, Prindalphon is here to join this prinny train. He already has a coffee thermos in his flipper though, and he'll present it to MC.]

We'd be bad hosts. Hospitality is important to us prinnies, Dood.

[Well, that stare is a little unnerving. Atsushi's glad the prinny suits aren't that expressive for a moment, though the smile that follows is relieving to say the least. Maybe he liked cute things?]

If you are not in too much of a rush, we can also make you snacks dood.

[ Princor just tilts his head slightly at the staring while holding up the matcha. Hmmm. ]

I'm not in a rush to go anywhere, but I would prefer not to be seen by the living contestants. Do you know of any hiding spots I might be able to go to for these snacks?

['Living contestants'...

He can't possibly--

Keep it together, Atsushi.]

Depends on where you'd like to go. The weather hasn't been that good this week, dood. Wanna go back to the studio? The contestants should be back at the house by now.

[Because he doesn't want to stick around and speak for longer than he needs to. So without further ado, he'll move in the direction of the studio to see, and he will wave them over if everything is clear.]

Are there any snacks you would like in particular, dood? [ Digging for secrets with food likes/dislikes, flawless plan. ]

I'm not a picky eater. Would you believe me if I said I had snail pie once? A monster in the Foundation gave it to me, and it would have been rude to refuse.

[He will go wherever they lead him, too. He's not in any rush here either, he's a surprisingly patient person.]

Dood...

[Said as if that's an impressive feat. Because wow, that's...

Wow. Not that Atsushi could say he might not do exactly the same thing. Can't refuse food.]

We might not have snails but we can whip up something good. It's our job, dood.

[He waves a flipper cheerily, motioning for MC to follow them. Sandalphon should be done checking, he hopes...!]

[He does come walking back and he nods at Atsushi. Coast is clear?!]

It's vacant for now. We can set up some tables and chairs as well. [Paaaause.] Dood.

Snail pie...I've never heard of that before, dood.

[ Now Alcor needs to make it for science. Just not right now. ]

In that case I will see what is available in the kitchen dood. [ And he's scurrying off for kitchen adventures, brb! ]

...how was it, dood?

[The vividly red prinny has been watching and listening and letting things happen. Though he did retrieve cloth and a bucket of water at some point.

Akira sounds legitimately curious.]

Very salty. It was kind of like a savory pudding pie? As long as you didn't think too much on what gave it that flavor, it wasn't so bad.

[He follows after the prinnies, letting them lead him to wherever they plan on taking him. He does wait for the prinnies to set up a table, though, because they wanted to serve him and all.]

[That didn't sound so--

Wait a second, it was still snails!]

Never would have thought it would be something like that, dood.

[They'll just keep leading him into the studio, and then get started setting up that table for him! Hopefully by the time they're done, Alcor will be back with snacks.]

[Somewhere along the line when it seems most of the table set up is done, Sandalphon wanders off to the kitchen to grab some coffee and whatever other snacks need to be carried along (but not the sex cake). It's fine, considering how chatty some of the other prinnies are, they can show all the hospitality.

But he might also be a little late because he's going totally going to go check out that jeep. And maybe steal some shit from there if no one's watching.]

[ Alcor is back with...the sex cake. Because everyone likes cake and if it's cursed meh. He's not the one eating it so meh!!! There's also a fruit & cheese platter, and mackerel on crackers. Short notice means he was scrambling but he did his best. ]

I have returned with cake, dood.

[Akira is gonna be with Sandy, though. Too many Prinnies ruin the snack, dood!

He's going to make a show of washing the jeep for any cameras while he also searches it.]

Oh? It looks like there's a lot more than just cake.

[It's a normal jeep. Nothing really valuable in it, besides a couple pens. It seems to be a standard-issue Foundation jeep, just like the ones used to shuttle people around site 4. The keys are in the ignition, though.]

[When Atsushi sees what Alcor managed to bring along he has to bit back any protest because... why. Why this???

It is now Alcor’s job to explain the cursed cake, Atsushi refuses.]

Variety is always better, right dood? Make yourself comfortable.

[He’ll even pull out a seat for him!]

[ Because if he has to suffer so does everyone else! ]

Though you said you were not picky, us prinnies aim for the highest caliber of hospitality dood. [ Getting all the food set up. Also there's ranch popcorn too ty Nora. ]

If you were to give us advance notice, next time we can make you a proper meal dood.

[Meanwhile in jeepland, Sandalphon will take a closer look at the keys. Are there any other keys there, or is it just that one key for the car?

He'll turn to Akira after that, speaking quietly.]

Do you know how to operate one of these vehicles?

I do, but I've never tried it with flippers and peg legs.
