Round 4 graveyard
[When your character dies, however that may be, they will feel themselves floating. For a moment or two they will linger at the site of their death, hovering just above everyone, watching.
Then they will feel a pull and they will get tugged all the way to the studio, through a wall, through the hall, through a door.
The place they end up in looks to be a backstage area. There is an area for storing supplies, a coat rack full of empty prinny costumes, a lounge area, and a place to rest. All of these areas are marked by a green border between the described rooms and the doors that go elsewhere. You will see prinnies come and go, hurrying around as they do their work for the day. But within those borders, some of the prinnies will take off their suits, revealing the human souls within. Men, women, old, young, there is a large mix. They are all very dead, though, and seem used to being dead.
And among all of the dead is one living girl, one who seems to be running the show behind the set. She can be found giving instructions to prinnies and telling them where to put things, but she will always take time to give everyone who arrives the same warning:]
Hi there! I'm Marona, and this is the backstage area. There's a lot to do yet, so if you could help us out I would really appreciate it.
All the areas with the green on the floor are safe to be in as ghosts. Your souls won't get pulled away as long as you stay in the safe areas. If you want to go outside of there, though, you have to put on a prinny suit. And if you do that, you have to follow the rules of the prinnies: no killing anyone, follow the orders you're given by the living, and try not to blow up too much.
If you have any questions, I'll be here! But you can come and go as you like. Just don't give Mr. Dazai too much trouble, okay?

He's scared. About what might happen tomorrow, scared for everyone in the house, about John, about what could happen if they fail... Because there is so very much to be lost, if they fail.
And a small, selfish part of him is scared for Dazai, too. He knows it's not his right to tell the man what to do with his life when he didn't really know him, but... He knows he could be happier. He's seen it. He's seen light in those eyes, in the man he'd come to know in his own world.
But this isn't something he can save someone from, isn't it?]
Sorry, I'm sorry... I'm just... feeling a little overwhelmed right now.
[His voice cracks a little.]

[Akira's tone is pitched deliberately soft and gentle. In contrast, his touch becomes firmer. Not rough but steady enough that Atsushi leaning into it won't shift him.
Supportive.]
There's been a lot going on. And Dazai is something pretty personal for you. Getting overwhelmed seems kind of understandable.
CW: Mention of suicide ideation
[Atsushi's grateful for it, really. He needs this right now, needs to feel a little less helpless, a little less adrift. Because--]
H-He... The Dazai I know is still a bit like this, in my time. But he's not... He's not this bad. He's happier, even if he's sad too.
[And oh, it hurt, to see that anger. Not the silly whining of the Dazai he'd come to know in his world, but--]
...There's no light in his eyes, Akira. And I can't fix it, even though I want to to tell him he should try to live a little longer. That maybe he'll find that 'something' like the one I know did.

[Or het baby jail. Akira won't judge. He drags his nails along Atsushi's scalp, firm but careful.
And he listens.]
It's hard, separating another version from the one you knew. Even though the mind is aware, emotions don't really give a fuck.
[Akira sighs.]
You're right, you can't just fix it. Especially not with words. But if we can make sure he gets yeeted back to the living with the rest of us, there's nothing saying you can't still find a way to help in the long run.
[That bitch empty. Yeet!]

['Yeet' he knew, but that one... He thinks he has a vague idea of what it means, and it had to be a meme, but why would you put a baby in jail? Why would you put a gay baby in jail?
He doesn't think too deeply on it though, because Akira's nails scratching against his scalp is soothing and feels so relaxing. So maybe he was a bit more feline than he'd like to admit.]
It is hard... and I know he's a different Dazai, I do. But... it hurts so much, seeing him like this. Seeing his body...
[He was glad he'd been in a prinny suit for that, because if he hadn't he might have cried.]
...Seeing him talk like the second Marona lets him out of her sight, he'll disappear... I don't... Is it bad, that I want him to have a chance to find a reason to live?
[One he might never find, in this world. He was sure now after watching some of his series with Inaba: The Dazai in his world owed his current state to Oda, had found something, at the agency. Maybe not a proper reason to live yet... but a reason to keep looking, maybe.]
