Round 5 endgame!

Hey there! It's been quite the ride this round, but it's almost time to draw it to a close. There's a lot to go through, so let's get started.

Endgame will be working a bit differently this round. Because of all the loose ends we have to tie up, endgame will actually last for two weeks. The first week (May 18th-24th) will cover the end of events in the year 2000. The second week (May 25th-31st) will cover the end of events in the year 2020.

If you're in round 5 and haven't died yet, congrats! You get to rest for today and pick up on Endgame stuff on Monday. If you're dead, then there will be a post in the graveyard at 3pm EST to go over dead things. In-betweeners will also get a post at 6pm EST.

Next week's post will be for Monday through Friday. This time is meant for final information-gathering and to prepare to try and escape the house. There are currently two tasks left to complete before escape is possible. If those two tasks are not completed by 6pm EST on Saturday, everyone in the house will automatically be killed. "But mods, what are those tasks?" That's for you to work out! We think you all have a pretty good idea of what needs to be done, but you have the next week to discuss and plan and work out what to do.

Additionally, please prepare for an extra 2-3 hours of play-time after those two tasks are finished. If it takes up until the time limit to finish those tasks, then we will be playing until 9 pm EST on Saturday. If you finish the tasks by 2 pm, then we should finish by 5 pm.

Assuming you don't end the 2000-section by failing to finish those two tasks, the 'escape' will be broken into two parts: 'escaping the house' and 'containing the curse'. We have a fail-safe in place to make sure that the curse is contained (since this is a flashback round and to fit the continuity there has to be a barrier up), but we are open to any possible way of containing the curse. What we bring to the table as mods is just "if nothing else, you can use this". As always, we encourage all of you to come up with your own plans and do something better than what we have planned.

Also, as this is the end of the '2000' part of R5, please be aware that pretty much everyone will be dying over the course of endgame. If you want to have a specific death for your character (dying while saving a friend, dying while trying to fight a ghost, dying breaking a rule at a key point to further the plot, etc.), please leave a comment below and we will work out a plan with you. Comments are screened for the sake of planning in privacy.

Once we are done with the 2000 section on Saturday, we will be making a new post for the 2020 crew. That post will run from Saturday (whenever the 2000 section finishes up) until Friday. That week is for everyone in 2020 to come up with a plan on how to handle the curse and everyone still trapped in it. Once again, us mods have a 'last resort' plan in mind in case you don't come up with anything, but we encourage you to think of your own solutions! If you bring a plan to us that works, we can run with it. Also, be sure to work as a group on this, since there are a lot of characters involved in this mission. Whatever viable plan has the majority support is what will be used.

Saturday the 30th, the final post of R5 will go up at 12pm EST. The 2020 characters will have until 6pm EST to enact their plan and deal with the fallout of everything from it. Information will be given to the R5 characters once a plan is in place, so that the R5 players will know what to do with their characters.

Sorry if some parts are a bit vague! This round's endgame builds on the actions that happen during endgame, so it's very reactionary. But we will update this post as more information becomes available. We will make the information additions very visually distinct too, so you know what was added and when it was added.

If you have any questions, please ask below. Questions will be manually unscreened so everyone can see them.

Asking this in a more official capacity now--

As someone who's inbetweeners are hands off: Natsuno/Alcor, is there anything for current R5's to do in 2020 in regards to endgame? I have no idea if you'd need someone to communicate with the inbetweeners, antagonize or what have you but I am here for all these things.

TLDR; I would like to participate in endgame, but my 2 shop people are very much hands off (natsuno doesnt care unless anon moves/ozaki) and alcor is just happy to observe unless noodle orders him to intervene. If this is easier to talk out on discord feel free to hit me up!

I understand this is kind of fluid based on what plans actually happen, but I just want to express that I do want to be able to play in the final week in some capacity, and sorry my guys are like this lol.

Got it, ty! I might hit Maple up to discuss Alcor stuff because he's probably the more relevant here but will think on it more.

Hey guys! I know Week 7 focuses primarily on the in-betweeners to wrap things up, but will the 2000 crew be able to do anything in the meanwhile (even if it's just farting around in the gy) or is the game effectively 'over' for them until a possible revival happens?
