Yesssss I was unexpectedly charmed by the series despite an ongoing and recent cynicism with VR canons!! It's just so damn good and a lot of that is how strong the characters are. :3c I LOVE EVERYONE PRETTY MUCH. I was dragged into this hell by someone else but I am slowly spreading the infection. Hopefully. Ufufu.

I really hope I do her justice tbh I'm yoloing so hard here y'all.

Also I know very little about Fire Emblem but I'm looking forward to poking your dude also. 8)) Rad mask.

yeah!! im real glad they put so much emphasis on the cast and their backstory and they limited how big it got. it really helped that they had a few mains and tried to flesh them out before expanding into more characters

Yeah the first season was really strong because they took their time digging into the cast potential and dynamics and it was just!! So good!! I've been rewatching if you can't tell I'm just like aww yeeee. ♥

man, the second time around for s1 was way better than the first for me cause i actually understood the duels?? the duels are so dense in vrains that its understandable if they turn people off the series, but tbh theyre fun once you can follow whats happening. aois deck is so nice

Hahaha some of the duels can really be hard to follow!! I really like the symbolism in a bunch of them, though -- Revolver's are some of my favorites, unsurprisingly, but Aoi and Akira's are really great too. I love seeing the variations in decks. :3c

There are so many suspect dudes here that she'll probably pretend to be outraged for 10 seconds and then give up. Sometimes you gotta go with the flow.

They can be! There's a lot of effects flying around and infinitely long turns but second watch on it's like OH!! I KNOW WHAT'S HAPPENING!! Revolver duels are definitely fun too because he basically breaks the game in one turn. Revolver pls??? 16 monsters??? one turn???? Also yes I love Aoi's effect damage gimmick, it's great and her aesthetic is great!! It's just a shame in S1 she loses so often. :(

SUCH LONG TURNS my god and they love to chain like 50 effects at once. The 16-monster thing was completely ridiculous, you just come to expect him breaking the game AND YET STILL. I really hope we see more of Aoi winning now that she's got her own thing going on because she has! More stakes now!! It's exciting ~~

I'm dying honestly because she's living next to Szayel and it's basically like Spectre multiplied by a factor of a couple thousand. This is Her Life Now.

HALF EPISODE TURNS!! And god they really do, the effects in VRAINs cannot be contained. And yes, let Aoi win more?? Her deck is so cute and well-built and all her effects chain so nicely. Every time I watch her duels I get so sad because like SHE HAS THE TACTICS??? The good planning and duel sense she just gets fucked over because other people are just That Crazy Good at dueling. Whenever she starts talking about her strategies I'm like OH GIRL, STOP... YOU ALWAYS LOSE WHEN YOU HAVE A PLAN!!

At some point I was like, I should make a drinking game out of the Link summon chains. I haven’t yet but the thought is there. And now we’re basically buried in summoning methods lmao THANKS REVOLVER. Breaking everything as usual including summoning. Anyway yeah like.... she has a good deck and I feel like they just need to give her that extra bit of strength and variation that lets her win more consistently. She keeps getting used to show how strong the new enemy/whatever of the hour is and somebody else needs to take over the duty now and then!!
