THE TRIPWIRE

Akira wakes up on Monday morning with bloody sheets, an aching chest, and a Staff member in his room holding a bloody scalpel and a surgical mask plastered over their face. With a chipper tone, they tell Akira that the surgery was a success, and that his new role is that of The Tripwire. A quick feel of his sore chest will tell him that there's a freshly stitched up wound there, along with the feeling of something extra beating along in time with his heartbeat. Looks like living just got complicated...
OOC GAMEPLAY
- The Tripwire is a Third Party role in which the player may go about the game as normal.
- However, the Tripwire has a bomb in their chest, timed to the beat of their heart. The moment his heart stops, the bomb goes off. This explosion will take out the killer IF they kill and remain close to the body. If the killer murders The Tripwire remotely (like poisoning or a trap), they will survive.
- The bomb will not go off if The Tripwire is executed.
- The bomb will go off if they tell anyone about the bomb in their chest. This extends to explicit verbal and written communication.
- The Tripwire wins if they make it to the end of the game alive.
TIPS
I mean, you have a bomb in your chest and can't tell anyone about it - act accordingly. As for the wound, it'll be raw and painful for a few days, but on Thursday it'll be healed to the point of just looking like a new scar, with the stitches removed. Huh!

I don't know how much I can tell without putting you in danger.
Well, more danger.
And I don't know how you got here, except - you must have wandered into this place's active radius. Past a certain point, you can't escape without coming in here and signing the Guestbook. And -
[Another pause.]
Something is wrong with this place. It's gotten progressively worse over the months, and I don't know what's happening to it.
[There's no reply on the identity of the person, as the pen is set back down on the desk.]

You didn't tell me who the culprit was.
[pointing that out gently]
. . . can you tell me a little bit about how you got here? And how you discovered something was wrong with this place?

I can't tell you. Not if you really don't know anything. I'm not going to burden you with this. I don't know how much of this is being watched.
I don't want you to die,
Ren[The moment he writes that and realizes what he's done, it's instantly scribbled out.]
Forget that name. Please. I - need to go.
[The Pen clatters onto the table and on the floor, and you get the feeling The Apprentice isn't here anymore.]

[bolts to his feet immediately, but. . . a bit too quickly, because a sharp streak of pain suddenly sears through his chest. he lets out a pained cry and presses his hand against his heart, before dropping to his knees and kind of. . . curling up on himself]
