GRAVEYARD
[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.
Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.
'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'
He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.
It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

SUNDAY POST TRIAL
Please, dead of the Resort! May I direct your attention to center stage for just a moment! First, I would like to congratulate everyone on a successful exorcism after the madness of yesterday. [he puts his arms behind him, looking a bit more serious] But we mustn't rest on our laurels just yet. In all the chaos, I am unsure if you noticed the Captain. He slept the entire trial and then promptly disappeared, leaving the Lady to do his job. This lines up with what we learned from 34's letter. This is a very bad sign.

Does that mean he's seriously trying to kill the resort?
???animal death??? cw???
Dear friends -- imagine, if you will, a deer. A deer is a ruminant, a creature exquisitely designed to eat and grow on a diet of nutrient-poor roughage. How does a deer accomplish this? The deer is home to millions of other organisms; protozoa, bacteria, even some fungi. These microbes are all given safe refuge in the deer's rumen -- in exchange they digest the tough cellulose in plant matter, allowing the deer to get energy from it in ways other animals cannot.
Now.
Picture this -- the deer is crossing a road and BAM! She meets her untimely end on the grill of a truck. What, then, do you think happens to everything that was living in her rumen?

[he did kind of figure.]

And to that end, I have a proposal -- that we cast aside all conceptions we have about the mafia "monsters" among us. If the letter is to be believed... the game isn't important. The monsters are Guests, just like us. We are all rats on the same sinking ship.

[He tilts his head thoughtfully.]
The letter says that the important thing is who survives, right?
So... does the resort count as a "who?"

We have seen that the Outsider can hijack the Resort, to an extent. I think this whole mafia game is his idea -- by turning the Guests against one another, we are distracted. And vulnerable.

[Hrmmmmm.]
Isn't it kind of bad for him if everything dies, too? [Like. Most people have a higher level of self-preservation than Yoshi, that's for sure.]

Or may not care. We are all fictional D-class after all. For the Foundation, we are expendable assets. He's apparently also more of a military person than a researcher. His goal very well may be to destroy this Resort, at whatever cost. [he scoffs] There are certainly plenty who think like that among the ranks of the Foundation.

[But that means going into the vents :<]
I don't think the resort itself is bad, either. I mean, I was talking to one of the other guests and he said it's famous across different universes for its service? Seems weird to destroy something like that.

My memories of the Foundation are still quite blurry, but I do distinctly recall a constant frustration with their unwillingness to try and understand. Secure, Contain, Protect -- all good, yes. But there are certain things you shouldn't just lock away in a box.

[He's. He's got concerns about what he's been doing for them now.]
So in this case, we just need to "secure" and "protect" it?

Of course, I may end up eating my words later on... but, ah, such is the risk of a hypothesis.

[As long as it's not the barghest puppy, Yoshi is pretty much fine with this.]

[He had no idea how correct he was when he first mentioned that to Ichigo.]

Are you a final boss?!

Ahem...
Actually, I was the Octava Espada... the eighth most powerful Arrancar in Lord Aizen's army.

[JUST. GESTURES.]

And anyway, it's not just out of ten; lord Aizen had hundreds of Arrancar in his army! ... Just, ten Espada, is all. to even be counted among the Espada is the highest honor...!
