[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

[ There's an immediate tablet ping because how is she supposed to know if this is a ghost or a living person coming in to check up on her? ]

[It takes a little finagling so he doesn't drop anything, but!]

[The pause before the message will become obvious once the door's open; he's brought rice with egg rolls and a glass of water. Nothing fancy, but with the chef so tired, it's probably best to stick with simple stuff.]

... Oh.

[ She says that aloud before walking over and opening the door for him, and one thing becomes pretty apparent in spite of her messages: Inaba's not looking great at all. Her hair's a mess and her eyes are puffy and red, too. ]

Hey, and- [...] You brought food?

[ There's a raise of a brow as if questioning him why. ]

[Ah... he doesn't need to read her info to figure out that one.]

I didn't see you at breakfast, so I thought I'd bring some over. Being intangible really sucks!

[dereban]

You can leave it on the table. I'll eat it later.

[ Her voice feels kind of small right now, and that's probably a little telling of her emotions right now. ]

[justonezero]

...Okay!

[And he'll set it all down on the table, though he turns to her again right after.]

...Soo do you want to talk about it, or?

[dereban]

[ Her answer is immediate: ]

No. I said I was going to forget about it, and I will. I have to.

[justonezero]

Why do you have to?

[dereban]

I won't be able to move forward easily if I don't. And. . . I can't just sit and mope around the entire time, either.

[justonezero]

...Does it actually get easier if you do that?

[dereban]

I don't know. But I have to try.

[justonezero]

Eh-

You don't even know for sure?!

[dereban]

I've never had to deal with my feelings like this before, so, yeah, this is a huge gamble. But I think I'll be fine, I just need some space to take care of myself for a bit, and I don't want the other guys to worry about me.

[justonezero]

What are you even trying to forget, anyway?

[dereban]

I don't want to talk about it.

[justonezero]

[He hums thoughtfully.]

If it's about feelings, and the other guys... is it relationship trouble?

[dereban]

. . . [ She doesn't answer him, instead going completely quiet for a moment and then: ] What if it is, huh?

[justonezero]

Did you break up with someone?

[dereban]

. . . nnnnnno?

[justonezero]

Then was someone mean to you?

Is this the part where I'm supposed to go fight whoever hurt you?!

[Yoshi you are a noodle.]

[dereban]

What? No. They weren't mean at all. I think. . . that's where I'm having problems. They weren't mean to me at all, and I'm just struggling to figure out how I should feel about it. [ There's a bit of a pause, and a sigh before: ] Can you promise not to tell anyone if I do tell you?

[Please let this secret not be like, life-threatening or anything.]
