[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

[There's a massive amount of white blood cells that need to be cleared out before you can even think about exploring deeper. Time to get to work, dead!]

[Ryoga stretches briefly before he lifts his umbrella from his shoulders - opening it in one swift motion. Then with out warning he suddenly tosses the thing with such force that it spun like a top right towards the white cells, and the edges seem sharp enough that it is effectively more like a flying buzzsaw before he charges in after, grabbing white cells to toss at other white cells]

[and Akira is here, as promised, flipping a combat dagger stolen from his personal knife collection in his hand before he darts into the fray, a black streak against white. COME AT HIM, WHITE BLOOD CELLS]

[he is hovering rather close to Yoshi too, wherever Yoshi may be!]

[HEY WHAT UP it's a great time to brawl against some white blood cells!!

Minato's got a few tricks up his sleeve--namely that after having tapped into it once, and being already dead, he...doesn't really need his Evoker right now. He can't sustain the costume like Akira can, but he can...call up the mask.

So he's flicking that off to summon Messiah, flinging a megido the way of some of the blood cells in Akira's way.]

[Yoshi's here, though he sticks behind the front line fighters, close to Ellie and Akira. At first sight of a white blood cell, he stops and begins his analysis, quickly typing away at the tablet that was totally usable this entire time, good job us.]

--No elemental weaknesses. They're basically like people, so aim for the head or heart!

[As he hears that, he clenches his jaw just a little. It's far from the first time he's faced humanlike opponents, but...]

[...And yet he still ends up defaulting to disarming and knocking them unconscious. Okay then.]

Is it a bad thing that we're killing off the Resort's immune system...?

[It's said more musingly than anything, though, as Minato catches the knife of a white blood cell on his sword, shoving it back.]

[he's fought human shaped Shadows, but they didn't have human-like weaknesses. so. . .]

[Also sticking near Yoshi is Ellie, who is... Primarily acting as ranged DPS for the time being. By which I mean, she's casting fire magic from a distance on blood cells that are otherwise not engaged in combat. Avoiding collateral damage and keeping as many enemies occupied as possible is important.]

Alright, I won’t say I know anything about science and what white blood cells are... but I’m fighting so my friends can have a future and so we can change things for the better! If you agree with that, we can just kind of nod and go our separate ways. But if you’re gonna stand in our way... well, Cell Smiting Cynthia is gonna put the hurt on you!

[she proceeds to strike a SWEET POSE.]

[...Umm...??? So Cynthis was like that too? But let's... try to explain white blood cells.]

...The quick explanation is that they think we're trying to hurt the resort, and will fight to the death to protect it. They probably can't be convinced we're not here to hurt it, though.

You do realize they can't understand what you say, yes? And it's not like the Lady could control them anyway, no more than you can control your own immune system! It's all very automated.

[ That's okay, he has a lot of experience with clearing enemy maps. That's basically all Fire Emblem: Awakening is. True to his word, Gerome gets started with trying to cut down foes with his trusty axe. There's a fierceness to the way he moves, a ruthless lack of hesitation that absolutely comes with experience.

He's also perfectly fine straying away from the others, though he doesn't move so far out that reaching him again would be a problem. ]

[Well, if nothing else, Cynthia is trying to watch his back as she fights. After all, Gerome’s one of her best friends, and even if he wasn’t, she’s gotta do her cousin a solid! So if he does stray away a bit, she follows... not too closely, but closely enough to make sure he doesn’t get attacked from behind.]

[Knowing Gerome's lone wolf tendencies, Rean won't try to get too close as he fights, but like Cynthia, he'll be keeping an eye out to make sure he won't get surrounded. Effectively, what this will mean is there's the occasional wave of energy flying over as he uses Arc Slash to knock any white blood cells away from a distance, although he may end up hitting one that Gerome's targeted and steal his kill.

[The role of a Medic is often assumed to be one relegated to the sidelines, at least on a surface level. A doctor who stays out of the line of fire, and slinks in when the combat is over to tend to the wounded. Of course, with such a strategy, you're more likely to find your patient already dead. Medic's always preferred the hands-on approach to things. Taking lives into his own hands, fighting alongside his comrades, sticking close to the frontlines but darting out of the way enough to avoid taking a hit. In short? He's in his element, and while the Medigun still refuses to return to full function, its beam is the strongest its been since arriving in this resort, and his Blutsauger is fully operational. You can always tell where Medic is on the battlefield if you follow the sound of maniacal giggling. Or follow the trail of fallen white blood cells, with gaping wounds in their abdomens from the Ubersaw, syringes decorating their throats like medical pincushions. Though its more likely he'll find you, first- its like he's everywhere at once, rushing around and latching the Medibeam to anyone who he sees take a hit. Of course, if he doesn't notice you in time, don't worry. You can always call for Medic.

[Thankfully for everyone here, Szayel released his sword in his room. Seeing that once or twice is enough for a lifetime, thanks. Once they are confronted by the brain’s immune cells, Szayel steps forward]

I would ask that anyone who doesn’t want to be cloned step back now, please.

[[[full description of clone-making here.]] [Non-gross version: Szayel splatters your character and the white cells with black liquid and this makes perfect replicas of them, including their powers.]

Well, not quite perfect. Each cloned white cell has an ornate “8” on its hat instead of the usual designation, as well as the Foundation’s White Rabbit logo on the back of their jackets. Additionally, all the clones have blank, empty eyes with inky purple “X”s on the skin around them.

There’s also some minor aesthetic changes to the clones of the dead… whether it’s a different hairstyle, slightly modified clothes, or something else… If questioned about it, Szayel will just shrug and say something about his standards of beauty!

Only Ichigo’s clones have no changes, except for their eyes. ]

[Rean's pretty used to fighting people, and his time at the Foundation only just extended that to include SCPs that resembled humans. It doesn't change the fact that he's far from comfortable with killing them, and it shows in the way he leaves groups of unconscious bodies wherever he's fighting on the front line. And while he won't necessarily stop anyone from finishing them off, he'll wince if he happens to catch sight of it. Anyone's free to call him out on this shit, especially if it ends up backfiring with a WBC regaining consciousness and trying to attack again.

Every now and then though, he'll pull back to take a bit of a breather and check on some others who are doing the same. Now's also a good time to get a speed buff from him as he'll be casting a couple of them with his ARCUS.

At one point, things get a little dicey for him; the exhaustion from fighting the sheer numbers of WBCs don't help, and with everyone else more or less occupied with their own fights, it's hard to call for back up. He hasn't come out of all of this unscathed, either; he's riddled with various cuts and tears in his clothing, although he's been lucky enough to avoid anything too life-threatening. Still, surrounded as he is and with a number of weapons coming towards him, he does have one option left to him, loath as he is to use it. But he still has to make amends for what he's done, and that means that he has to survive and keep pushing on, so they can pave the way for the living. So with a hand clutched over his chest and an animalistic roar, he unleashes his ogre power, enveloping his body in a dark aura and bleaching his hair white.

After that, well... it's not difficult for him to cut a path through by leaving a trail of corpses in his wake, but otherwise there's noticeably no rhyme or reason to which WBCs he's targeting -- it just seems to be whatever's closest and attacking him, which more or less means he's straying from the group oops. Attempt to call him back, y/n??]

[Once enough white blood cells have been taken out, it's finally time to actually try and find a route to Gabe. But the place is so dark, and the hallways seem to stretch on forever...

[Well, time to make use of the mapping program Yoshi made... two weeks ago? Wow, that feels like forever ago.]

Okay, let's see... It still only keeps track of where we've been, but this can still be a clue.

[If this place ends up being a teleporter maze, this should at least let us know... Hopefully?]

I heard the place might be changing form around us, though, so I don't know how much the map will help.
