GRAVEYARD

[On the instant of your death, you're suddenly outside of your body - probably staring down at the remains it's become.

Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

[Szayel flash steps between Yoshi and Medic and the Nue, giving a small wave]

[he glances behind to Medic] This creature inflicted some mild wounds on Kurosaki, so I suspect it could easily maul you and Mr. Nanase.

[The nue immediately jumps in delight at Szayel's sonido.]

YES! YOU RUN LIKE RED HAIR! NUE WANT PLAY!

[...Apparently, Ichigo made it think running like that is normal. it looks at Medic and Yoshi, though.]

NUE ROOM 203! IF OTHER FRIENDS WANT TO WAIT UNTIL NUE COME BACK, NUE ROOM OPEN! MAYBE WE HAVE SNACK TOGETHER!

Yes, yes, I run like the red hair boy, very good!

[he speaks to it like any asshole adult would talk to a young child. He looks at Yoshi and Medic and then toward the stairs. His implication is clear.]

Now then! [flash! to the doorway to the courtyard] Let's go out in the courtyard and play, hm?

[No need to tell him twice! Or. Give him looks twice.

Once he's sure the nue is properly occupied, he glances curiously at Medic and makes his way to room 203!]

[To Szayel:]

Good luck. I can try to patch you back up afterwards if you need.

[Once the Nue is sufficiently distracted, it's time to head upstairs!]

[The Nue happily bounds towards the courtyard, leaving Medic and Yoshi to check out the room. There are a few scratchmarks on the door, but it's relatively intact - and as it swings open, unlocked, they see....

Well, plenty of brown and yellow fur littered everywhere, with blankets and pillows arranged into a cozy floor nest. There's also...a lot of snacks! Mostly crunchy things, like crackers and chips and...dog treats? There's also a MASSIVE bag of jerky in the corner labeled 'BEEF.'

There's also a few papers scattered around, though they seem to have seen better days.]

[ flat is actually just having a good time, coming back from the arcade. he hasn’t even heard the nue and it seems he’s completely unaware of what’s going on until— ]

Oh it’s open!

[ and he’ll just peek his head in? gotta check it out! ]

Medic goes to the bag of jerky first, frowning at the "BEEF".]

If the resort hadn't specifically labeled my own body as human meat, I would be worried about how true this is.

[He sifts through the bag a little bit, more out of curiosity than anything. He'll also look through some of the other snacks while he's over here.]

Chips!

[YEAH, SORRY, YOSHI'S BEELINING FOR THOSE. What flavors do we got here.

Maybe in a second he'll actually think to use his eyes or something useful but for now, snacks must be secured.]

[ well... flat is actually going to be the “responsible one” and look over the papers? he’s pretty interested in this new room so he has to find out more about it! ]

[It's all good quality jerky, actually! It's all tender and delicious, like high quality shit.

As for the chips, it's a massive variety of flavors! Korean barbecue, corn potage, sesame seed, seaweed, southern biscuits and gravy, sour cream and onion, white cheddar...even some butter and sweet potato chips!

As for the papers...well, One of them is too oil stained to make out. There's another that's been half eaten, and it reads:]

-tel is fine for now. I can feel The Outsider in places he shouldn't be, making his way up our veins. I have all the faith in the world that our immune system will be able to catch him before he hits anything vital, but I'm still quite worried about us and the state of our Guests, should anything happen.

The Captain is rather sleepy, as he gets whenever a massive immune response is needed to fight off threats. I'm certain he will snap back just fine, but this does mean The Staff is beginning to not respond as they should, due to his absence.

I hope everything will be resolved soon.

[Yoinking the bbq flavor, but he'll be polite and wait on their new friend before he tries eating any.

If he does a quick scan of the room, is there anything of interest? He's going to try skimming the data for anything that looks complicated enough to warrant a deeper look so he hopefully doesn't give himself an immediate migraine.]

[Well, there's a hit under the blanket nest.]

A Letter? Like one the inquisitor uses, but there's no image in the gold. It's just a fancy letter.]

[ON ONE HAND THIS SEEMS IMPORTANT

ON THE OTHER THEY ARE IN A STRONG BEASTIE'S ROOM AND HE REMEMBERS THE LAST TIME HE WAS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF FANGS.]

[Medic doesn't do smart things so this was a mistake.

He does at least try to be gentle with opening the letter, though the envelope does have a few little tears when he's done. Ah well. Hopefully the Nue won't notice???
