Dreamland (round 3)

[A strange house of some sort sits in the pitch black nothingness that exists around it. For those just now wandering in, they will be drawn to the building, finding it lit up in a way that it should not be. It's as if the whole area- house, yard, fence, and giant sakura tree- all give off their own light, and the newly-arrived are drawn to it like a moth to the flame.

Inside the boundary of the yard, the familiar faces of those who have passed on already will greet them. Depending on who is asked, they might give an accurate explanation. But even if they don't, one thing is clear: you don't want to leave this place. The area outside feels Dangerous, and it is probably best to stay put.

Fortunately, the house is built in an old style, and there are many rooms to explore. One room on the second floor seems locked, but the rest are open to explore as desired. The standard rooms are easy to find: kitchen, a W.C. and a bathroom, a sitting room of some sort, and a couple bedrooms (with plenty of futons for the dead to use). There are also several tatami mat rooms with nothing in them currently, but it seems like there might be some use for those rooms.

Around the house, perches for birds can be found. No birds are on them currently, though.

Sometimes Watanuki can be found in the house, but most of the time the dead will be left to their own devices. The question is, what will they do here?]

[ bringing his hand closer now that fuzzy snake is around it

then speaking quietly: ] You're not going to betray me too, yeah?

[The fox pauses, and then it glances over to Watanuki. Then back at Ryuji.

He's friendly, but he's also got clear loyalties. Don't betray the noodle and you good.]

[ looks over at the witch noodle before looking back at the fuzzy noodle ]

I think I got it. We're good here.

[Good.

Then the little fox will unwind himself and go in to bonk Ryuji on the nose, with its own nose. A friendly greeting, maybe.]

[ a small breath is released that could be a laugh?? ]

Ya know, I don't say this a lot, but you're kinda cute.

[foundfate]

[The little fox seems to preen at that. You've made him happy!]

[kiddatheart]

You like that, don't you?

[ small sigh ] I bet everyone would love you.

[foundfate]

They probably would, Mugetsu is very friendly.

[Oh look, here's Watanuki, giving Ryuji and his new friend a tired smile.]

[ tiredly and a bit wary ] Hey Watanuki.

[foundfate]

Hello.

[He is not wary at all, and he's trying to be friendly.]

Welcome to my shop. Or...the dream version of my shop, I suppose.

Dream version? Like, how is this a dream?

[foundfate]

Because that's what this is: you are currently in my dreams. It's the perfect hiding place for all of you, she wouldn't think to look here. And even if she did, she doesn't have access to my dreams. So as long as I'm alive, you're all safe.

...yes. Technically Mugetsu there is a part of the dream and not the real version, but since I've lived with him for over a hundred years I imagine the dream version of him is accurate in behavior and mannerisms.

[ turns to look at mugetsu ]

So, you're just a dream?

[foundfate]

[Mugetsu nods. He doesn't seem bothered by it in the slightest, though.]

--So, a dreamy fox or a foxy dream?

[Look at this flat face Watanuki has. Look at it.]

He's a pipefox, Ryuji-kun.

[kiddatheart]

[ giving him a small small ]

Doesn't mean he can't be dreamy or foxy?

If you want dreamy and foxy, you should see his other form.

Oh? He can shape shift?

[foundfate]

[He sure can! And now Ryuji has a lap full of people-sized fox.]

Oh shit you're... bigger than I thought.

[ do i get it off me? halp ]

He certainly is.

[There is no escape, Mugetsu is snuggling Ryuji now.]

[ huffs and starts petting him ]
