Dreamland (round 3)
[A strange house of some sort sits in the pitch black nothingness that exists around it. For those just now wandering in, they will be drawn to the building, finding it lit up in a way that it should not be. It's as if the whole area- house, yard, fence, and giant sakura tree- all give off their own light, and the newly-arrived are drawn to it like a moth to the flame.
Inside the boundary of the yard, the familiar faces of those who have passed on already will greet them. Depending on who is asked, they might give an accurate explanation. But even if they don't, one thing is clear: you don't want to leave this place. The area outside feels Dangerous, and it is probably best to stay put.
Fortunately, the house is built in an old style, and there are many rooms to explore. One room on the second floor seems locked, but the rest are open to explore as desired. The standard rooms are easy to find: kitchen, a W.C. and a bathroom, a sitting room of some sort, and a couple bedrooms (with plenty of futons for the dead to use). There are also several tatami mat rooms with nothing in them currently, but it seems like there might be some use for those rooms.
Around the house, perches for birds can be found. No birds are on them currently, though.
Sometimes Watanuki can be found in the house, but most of the time the dead will be left to their own devices. The question is, what will they do here?]

[The rest of the note is scribbled out, like someone tried to make a puzzle and gave up.
And then 'GO AROUND IN A BOX' is written under that 'clue' there.]

[Shadow hands the note to Karen. But before he goes right... are those crazy bird bitches still out there??]

[...she says, glancing around to see if there's a literal box nearby.]

It's a scene of Watanuki and another young man fleeing from a similarly designed house, with the harpies chasing after them. Watanuki is screaming like a baby as he runs, though his companion seems to be a lot more level-headed about the whole situation. He's even pushing Watanuki along any time Watanuki's steps seem to falter. They falter with reason, though: Watanuki has a few scratches on his body from those large harpy claws, and it's inhibiting his movements.
Once they cross a bridge, the harpies stop chasing them and instead just screech angrily at the escaping boys.
Then it's another scene, this time at the shop. Wtanuki looks the same, but the other boy looks a year or two older. There's a first aid kit between them, and the other boy is bandaging Watanuki's fingers, which have cuts on them.
"You should be more careful."
"Hush. I'm new to this, making mistakes in the prices of wishes is part of learning."
"Now you can't cook dinner."
"Is that all you're worried about?!"
And then another flash, the other boy is now a man, and Watanuki is still the same as before. It's raining, and Watanuki is clutching something to his chest protectively as a black, inky blob of negative energy attacks him, landing cut after cut on his body. But the man is there, shooting a bow and arrow made of pure energy, and dispels each twisted limb as it tries to reach for Watanuki.
Some time later, Watanuki is being bandaged up from that attack.
"You knew it would happen."
"If I had told you, you would have put yourself in harm's way to keep me from getting hit. You're the archer, not me. You needed to stay unharmed to fight."
"..."
Logical, but the man still seems to dislike it.
One final jump, and now Watanuki is sitting in a room just like this, bandaging his own fingers once more. As he finishes his last finger, he holds up his hand to inspect it, ultimately smiling at his work even if his bandages are a little uneven.
"This will have to do. At least I've gotten better at balancing the costs of wishes. I don't have to do this as often anymore."
But there is a touch of sadness to his voice. Even if he has gotten better at his work, he still misses the days when someone would take care of his injuries.
The vision ends there, and everyone is back in the shop. The distortion on the door to that room seems to have healed.]

[Shadow frowns at the memory though -- watching as the other man aged while Watanuki stayed the same... and then one day he was gone. Shadow hasn't had to deal with that yet... but in the pit of his stomach, he dreads it]
... I guess I'll have to make some sort of decision here, after all.
[completely unrelated to sex and/or not sex with watanuki thanks]

Unless there's something Coco didn't tell them about being Precure, this isn't a problem she's ever going to have to deal with herself, but it's hard not to feel melancholy after seeing all that. She understands missing people who were important to you, at least.]

A decision about--?
[SHADOW PLEASE CONSIDER WHAT THIS SOUNDS LIKE TO PEOPLE WHO CAN'T HEAR YOUR INNER MONOLOGUE]

Eh? ... Nothing important. And not really any of your business besides.
[SHADOW THAT MAKES IT WORSE]
Let's get out of here.

[He's right, it's none of her business who he fucks.]
