Dreamland (round 3)

[A strange house of some sort sits in the pitch black nothingness that exists around it. For those just now wandering in, they will be drawn to the building, finding it lit up in a way that it should not be. It's as if the whole area- house, yard, fence, and giant sakura tree- all give off their own light, and the newly-arrived are drawn to it like a moth to the flame.

Inside the boundary of the yard, the familiar faces of those who have passed on already will greet them. Depending on who is asked, they might give an accurate explanation. But even if they don't, one thing is clear: you don't want to leave this place. The area outside feels Dangerous, and it is probably best to stay put.

Fortunately, the house is built in an old style, and there are many rooms to explore. One room on the second floor seems locked, but the rest are open to explore as desired. The standard rooms are easy to find: kitchen, a W.C. and a bathroom, a sitting room of some sort, and a couple bedrooms (with plenty of futons for the dead to use). There are also several tatami mat rooms with nothing in them currently, but it seems like there might be some use for those rooms.

Around the house, perches for birds can be found. No birds are on them currently, though.

Sometimes Watanuki can be found in the house, but most of the time the dead will be left to their own devices. The question is, what will they do here?]

[ A soft scoff... She usually hides her distaste a little better than this, but there's not much point in it now. ]

I think he's just about the last person here who should be calling anyone else a hypocrite. Of course, he probably knows that himself.

[ Which makes it no less frustrating. She sighs, crossing her arms. ]

It's amazing that someone can act so high and mighty and so pathetic at the same time... I don't think you could have known early on just how bad he'd end up, though.

[ She'd personally been expecting him to break since about two weeks in, but still. ]

Hn. I was fine with us using each other. Even if he was using me as penance for his guilt, I didn't care. I thought we had an understanding. But it was just more excuses, I guess.

[ Shaking his head. ]

I'd rather be a monster than a pathetic human being.

[ That word is very much taken from what he's heard around. It's not a term that's native to him, but it's one he's getting used to, for better or worse. ]

[ At that, she smiles again. It's irritated her whenever anyone has used that word as synonymous with evil, but it's one she's always used to describe herself, and she likes hearing it in a declaration of strength like that. ]

Me too. Not that I'd really have a choice in it anyway.

[ But even if she did, there's no question which side she'd choose.

...Anyway, they've probably talked about that person more than he deserves already, so she'll move on. ]

What all has been happening on this side?

[ "Where's Erika?" is probably a related question that she should be asking, but she isn't going to. ]

[ He doesn't exactly smile, but his expression does soften. The non-humans really are sticking together at this point, huh? ]

...a lot and nothing at all. Watanuki doesn't want Nirrti to find out about this place, so it's pretty restricted. It's not the worst and there's plenty of sake, though. Everyone who died is here, but some of them keep to themselves. [ This means Erika. ]

There was also this guy who came to visit who called himself John Doe. He was able to make gigai for everyone so they'll be bodies to return to. I was fighting Tsubasa when he showed up. [ Cause that's something he wanted to take care of obviously. A beat and then. ]

...and I've gotten to be with Anon almost the same as before. [ And now he can't hide that he's smiling because he's a nerd. ]
