Round 4 AU Workshop
In Round 4, all characters will be veteran Agents. That means they have been Agents for at least 6 months, and up to 2 years. This post can be used for sorting out that AU history.
Arrival at the Foundation
Arrival at the Foundation will generally follow this pattern:
1: Your character won't remember exactly how they were removed from their world. As far as they know, their memories just 'cut off' abruptly at whatever canon point you choose for them. They will have the feeling that there is a gap in there somewhere, but they won't be aware of how long it is or what happened during that time. Their first memory after this gap will always be the same: waking up naked in a cold room with a large, strange machine nearby. Regardless of what they were wearing before, they will now be wearing an orange jumpsuit.
2: Shortly after awakening, they will be taken from the room with the strange machine and brought to what looks like an interrogation room. In there, they will have their intake interview. The interview will vary based on how your character responds to being questioned, but in the end they will either agree to be an agent or end up being subdued and locked away in a cell until they agree to cooperate. Here are some examples of the intake interview: (1), (2), (3).
3: After the intake interview, characters will be taken away for training. This will vary based on what your character already knows, but by the end of it they will be proficient in the following: technology use (on par with 2019, as well as the use of Foundation-specific tech), reading and writing (in English, which all characters are suddenly able to speak), firearm use, containment protocol basics, and testing/training in using their powers. This process could last as little as a couple days (long enough to test out of all the training) to a few months (for people who know none of that and need to learn everything).
4: After their training is done, characters will start being assigned on missions. Characters will generally be assigned to tasks that fit their talents, but you can expect any mission they are sent on as D-class agents to be very dangerous. Casualties will be common.
Rankings
If a character survives being a D-class agent for long enough, they have the potential to become a C-class agent. C-class agents are generally given better assignments (to Safe SCPs with well-known containment protocols), and often are expected to be the 'leader' for groups of D-class agents.
For this round, your character can potentially be a C-class agent if they meet the following qualifications:
1: They have been at the Foundation for longer than 6 months.
2: They have been generally cooperative with the Foundation.
3: They have a particularly useful skill (mundane or otherwise) or a useful power.
If they don't fit those requirements, go with D-class to be on the safe side.
AU personality
Depending on the length of time they have been at the Foundation, a character's personality may be somewhat different from how they are in canon. This is to be expected, given the kind of work the Foundation does. However, characters should still be recognizable as themselves, and all changes in personality need to be explained on your app.
Any AU history or personality changes that are not listed on your app will not be considered canon for this game!
TL;DR -
- Characters will be agents of the Foundation.
- They can be there for anywhere from 'six months' to 'two years'.
- You must write up a summary of their AU history.
- You must also explain how this AU history has affected their personality.
- Time matters! Someone who only did the intake interview will be pretty much the same as they are in canon. Someone who has been with the Foundation for a few months will have Seen Some Shit, and their personality will probably have changed a bit.
As a final note, you must seek permission from other players before you may use their character in your character's AU history! If you want to have your character trained by Atsushi, for example, then you must ask Atsushi's player for permission, and we will seek confirmation from that player. Apps that fail this step will be automatically rejected!
So go ahead and get planning!

with feeling this time i swear
Age: ??? He's a star so idk.
Time in Foundation: 6 months
Agent Rank: D-Class
History:
☆ His interview was a mess. Not because he was combative, but because the interview went in philosophical circles and it probably took several interviewers before one figured out how to get him be direct and not wax poetic.
☆ Alcor is D-Rank because while eventually he got on board with agreeing to join the Foundation, it's his definition of it. Sometimes he completes missions perfectly and sometimes he just goes completely off the rails and decides to do something else entirely. Sorry for whoever is paired up with him, it probably is a crapshoot on whether you get useful Alcor or Alcor who sits back and watches.
☆ When he's at base he's very curious about all the humans milling about and will happily approach to strike up a conversation if something catches his eye. This can vary from mundane stuff like chatting about coffee to him randomly asking about a character's regrets in life. Everything and anything in between.
☆ There are times when he seemingly isolates himself though, and in those times you can find him in the tech lab, working away at computers oddly enough. And sometimes he hangs out in random high places just people watching like a creeper.
Personality
☆ Alcor is... well an oddball. He's distinctly not human which is easy to figure out in the first 10 seconds or so of talking to him. Prone to tangents, very curious, whimsical, and unapologetically himself.
☆ He doesn't have a firm grasp of humor or sarcasm so he can be fun to play with here, and maybe teach bad habits. He can also be pretty devious in that he knows some things are faux paus, but hey he's not going to follow them anyway~.
☆ Underneath all of his personal brand of individuality (weirdness), he easily gets his head lost in the clouds and is prone to overthinking.
☆ In general while he's very chill and pretty much will go with the flow on most things, he does have hard lines when his patience begins to fray; he's completely capable of sounding like well, a demon or judgemental God when this happens. No problem literally snapping his fingers and burning someone to a crisp either, depending on the situation.
Misc:
☆ He floats. All the time, always. Walking is too hard okay.
☆ While he doesn't need to eat he's a great cook! It's certainly magical cooking, but it tastes good so it's fine!?!
☆ His paperwork is submitted timely but he may have just. made a program to randomly generate a debriefing rather than make an actual one each time.
☆ Powerwise he's basically just below God tier, but he's actually not a fan of fighting unless it's necessary. He has so many magic spells, and while he's generally resistant to everything, he's especially resistant to fire and electricity.
Desired Cr:
☆ Do you play a protag? If you do, he can spot them a mile away (yes even if non-traditional ones) and he's prolly stalked your char at some point. He would chat them up about anything and everything at all hours of the night.
☆ Demons! So he's responsible for why humans can summon demons in canon and he's pretty familiar with them. He's definitely not enamored with them like he is with humans which means it's easier to see his prickly side, but he has an interest here in ones he's never met before.
☆ If anyone wants negative CR, he really has a huge problem with anyone who oppresses people?? Or people who do things for no reason: aka world destroyers who want to destroy just cause.

I'm canonblind so you're gonna need to fill me in here :).

That said if he was following her while she was unawares he... still wouldn't find out too much about her because she's so tight-lipped even when she gets along with people, ahaha. If he does some actual research into her though, like looking online and whatnot, I can fill you in on that /o/
no subject
Unless you give him an excuse to.He's more apt to comment on something she's engaging in like hobbies and then spring board from there.
As for research...I'm going to say he doesn't make a habit of looking people up until they grab his attention. That being said, he won't do a deep dive unless she super clams up because sources are biased and he'd much rather get to know the person than what's written about them. Yay for him having some form of manners?

Want to have them been on a mission of some sort together?
no subject
Sure we could have them be on a mission liiiike I'd say about a month before they were sent into the new SCP? And they had met like a few days - or a month ago based upon your preference - before being on that mission together.
no subject
Alcor: Because no one asked me to leave :>.
Sure, a month before r4 happens. As for before that, a few days works best I think. Gotta keep him mysterious until he can show off, then he can be an inquisitive pest~.

WHICH OF THESE IS GOING TO CANCEL EACH OTHER OUT
Let's see... they can totally do missions and containment duty on top of that, Nora's just going to get extra frustrated if Alcor wanders off because when he isn't fighting with his allies he actually tries to stay on task...... mostly because he likes beating things up, lbr here. He's also ironically the straightman AND the buttmonkey most of the time in his canon so it's a very dumb combination, and it will probably be super hilarious with him trying to bounce off airhead mcstarface philosophy guru because all that complicated mumbo-jumbo is pretty beyond him. He's a pretty linear thinker, but confusing him 99% of the time may be entertaining. /o/
He's as always curious about other nonhumans but lbr Alcor is just going to confuse him in general so add that to the baffle frosting. There's going to be so much side-eyeing, though he kind of wishes he could float all the time?? And lol idk if he'd trust his cooking but maybe if he gets hungry enough out in the field or at some point or something. ☆
Also fun fact there's a cloud cuckoolander with a berserk button in his canon and Nora pushes him so hard because he's a little shit that the guy snaps and almost wipes out an entire shoreline trying to take him out so. RIP.
no subject
he'd honestly be a little more straight talking with him after he has to do some containing, so that's a plus? he knows how to deal with demons and he very much has an "WAX POETIC"/"I"m the boss" modes. for missions he would actually get on point if stuff ever got real bad, but if the stakes weren't high and he saw something shiny you'll prob find him on the top of a ferris wheel eating an ice cream cone or something. ok prolly more like staring in the sunset wistfully.
rip shoreline. tbh he prolly won't get pushed there unless there was actual world destroying going on? =o
no subject
Fun fact: Demon world manjuus scream while you eat them. Apparently. Why.
Anyway, Nora would appreciate more straight talking??? How is he supposed to understand anything otherwise tbh. We can hash out the specifics of containment over discord or something tbh because I figure he's been paired up with a lot of people on containment duty but most of them haven't actually had to do anything. LOL Nora would get so frustrated it's hilarious STOP WANDERING OFF tbh he just yells about everything so it's fine. He'll be yelling at the ferris wheel or something.
And honestly nah, not at his canonpoint and he doesn't actually want to do it, it's just that his Cerberus side is pretty much primed to want to destroy everything all the time, so the whole containment thing? That's just Nora punching his own power a lot to stop it from wrecking all the things while everyone else is like what do we do with this dog smh. He's doing his some kind of best but sometimes you just have an apocalyptic doggo alter-ego stuck in your subconscious. Waiting. Watching. \o/
And sometimes dumb Foundation people keep wanting to overuse it, so. Pffft. Thusly our present state of affairs.

protags huh... Sandy is kinda-sorta protag of the events he's in but not so much in the main game as a whole so i'm not really sure where he'd fall there tbqh. i'll leave it to your discretion laughs (i'm also laughing at that world destroyer thing tbh but let me know if Alcor would dig into gbf or anything)
either way, Sandy would probably be initially wary of Alcor and i imagine he'd probably be able to get an idea of how powerful he is because of his own nature but honestly i think he'd just be bewildered most of the time because of all the weirdness ahahaha. (he would totally talk coffee with him for obvious reasons though)
no subject
Hm! He'd probably be piqued by non-human first seeing as that's probably not too hard to discern with the protagness(?) pinging him slightly after. He would only look into the basics of GBF, he doesn't really trust records beyond that given there's 3 separate versions of his story out there and it's better to learn from the source.
Bewildered is a good start! Actually he only takes his coffee with increasing amounts of sugar, how much of a sacrilege is that (he prefers tea!!!)
no subject
yeah! in canon he does give off an aura (as archangels and other things like him are wont to do) so i figured Alcor would be able to pick up on that considering his everything ahahaha. but his rep is saved \o/ not that he really gives a shit tbh. he's honestly more likely to answer questions about his shitchild years instead of things that involve Actual Feelings on his part anyways
oddly enough, Sandy's actually pretty understanding of people who don't like coffee (because he actually didn't like it at all the first time he tried it, laughs), so adding copious amounts of sugar or milk to it wouldn't really bother him much
he's not machias gosh...! although he would side-eye if Alcor adds like... a cup of sugar or something, because why even(no subject)

also does ozaki count as a protag or a villain
no subject
both.
So actually for canon reasons Alcor is gonna be decently wary of doctors/the scientists here. not enough to avoid them, but enough where he's going to try to steer the topic away from him personally. workups are still a part of things tho, so actually.
well ozaki is no nonsense and he'd appreciate that. want to be his fav dr on the account of ozaki's awesome bedsome manner here? in a weird way he knows how to deal with that bc of yamato.
we can work up to the meaty stuff in game \o\

i imagine he'd be able to tell that akira has the potential to be a "shining one" but that hmm it feels off? he'd certainly be curious why!
in canon his first friend kind of goes down a similar route but he still sticks to him like glue while also being willing to kill him at a drop of a hat ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
no subject
Please stalk Akira it'll be great. Also Akira's sense of humor is so terrible there are so many bad habits to gain here.
Akira would totally indulge the philosophical tangents, too.

Re: with feeling this time i swear
ah I see now :)
also floating everywhere buddies

and yes !
actually walking is hard legit he thinks its harder than floating LOL.

He's also...kind of a protag character in his iteration, too, though he's not exactly aware of it. Tfw someone made an entire world for your sake and you don't even know, I guess. Aside from that, he's also gained some "fame" for being this C-class agent who would rather throw himself into a mission rather than send a D-class to do it.
no subject
and huh! yeah alcor would def be interested in that esp the latter.
