Round 4 AU Workshop

In Round 4, all characters will be veteran Agents. That means they have been Agents for at least 6 months, and up to 2 years. This post can be used for sorting out that AU history.

Arrival at the Foundation

Arrival at the Foundation will generally follow this pattern:

1: Your character won't remember exactly how they were removed from their world. As far as they know, their memories just 'cut off' abruptly at whatever canon point you choose for them. They will have the feeling that there is a gap in there somewhere, but they won't be aware of how long it is or what happened during that time. Their first memory after this gap will always be the same: waking up naked in a cold room with a large, strange machine nearby. Regardless of what they were wearing before, they will now be wearing an orange jumpsuit.

2: Shortly after awakening, they will be taken from the room with the strange machine and brought to what looks like an interrogation room. In there, they will have their intake interview. The interview will vary based on how your character responds to being questioned, but in the end they will either agree to be an agent or end up being subdued and locked away in a cell until they agree to cooperate. Here are some examples of the intake interview: (1), (2), (3).

3: After the intake interview, characters will be taken away for training. This will vary based on what your character already knows, but by the end of it they will be proficient in the following: technology use (on par with 2019, as well as the use of Foundation-specific tech), reading and writing (in English, which all characters are suddenly able to speak), firearm use, containment protocol basics, and testing/training in using their powers. This process could last as little as a couple days (long enough to test out of all the training) to a few months (for people who know none of that and need to learn everything).

4: After their training is done, characters will start being assigned on missions. Characters will generally be assigned to tasks that fit their talents, but you can expect any mission they are sent on as D-class agents to be very dangerous. Casualties will be common.


Rankings

If a character survives being a D-class agent for long enough, they have the potential to become a C-class agent. C-class agents are generally given better assignments (to Safe SCPs with well-known containment protocols), and often are expected to be the 'leader' for groups of D-class agents.

For this round, your character can potentially be a C-class agent if they meet the following qualifications:

1: They have been at the Foundation for longer than 6 months.

2: They have been generally cooperative with the Foundation.

3: They have a particularly useful skill (mundane or otherwise) or a useful power.

If they don't fit those requirements, go with D-class to be on the safe side.


AU personality

Depending on the length of time they have been at the Foundation, a character's personality may be somewhat different from how they are in canon. This is to be expected, given the kind of work the Foundation does. However, characters should still be recognizable as themselves, and all changes in personality need to be explained on your app.

Any AU history or personality changes that are not listed on your app will not be considered canon for this game!


TL;DR -

- Characters will be agents of the Foundation.
- They can be there for anywhere from 'six months' to 'two years'.
- You must write up a summary of their AU history.
- You must also explain how this AU history has affected their personality.
- Time matters! Someone who only did the intake interview will be pretty much the same as they are in canon. Someone who has been with the Foundation for a few months will have Seen Some Shit, and their personality will probably have changed a bit.


As a final note, you must seek permission from other players before you may use their character in your character's AU history! If you want to have your character trained by Atsushi, for example, then you must ask Atsushi's player for permission, and we will seek confirmation from that player. Apps that fail this step will be automatically rejected!

Hi guys! Len here with Himeko Inaba who was in a past round (R2) - and I'm gunning for her in R4 as well! In terms of her AU, Inaba's a D-class agent who does a lot of paperwork/documentation and technology stuff as necessary for backup and sometimes goes on missions primarily dealing with safe SCPs since she can't exactly do a lot of combat oriented stuff, so she isn't on the front lines a lot.

She's been here for a while (since September 2018!) and picks up things pretty quickly, so for the first two months she did go on relatively simple missions that dealt with safe SCPs (i.e 'ones you can easily categorize and put in boxes') for the most part except for any mandatory missions that she was sent on. Although since she's pretty much a normal person, she wasn't sent alone, so. If anybody wants to have gone on a mission with her for those first two months, feel free to hit me up! She probably wouldn't have spoken much to anyone and try to distance herself and acts cold to everyone. Talking is only necessary when she has to because she doesn't want to get close to them.

People who have vaguely met her - either on a mission or just seen her in general on the Canada site - would have noticed that she was gone from late November to January for R2, and then started floating between the R1 and the R2 site and started collecting merch on her little cubicle/desk... I'm sorry, she's like this.

Also, others who would have noticed her can mistake her for a non-6350 agent given that she looks pretty normal in comparison to the others which I think is pretty hilarious!!

I should also bring up that if anyone met her pre-R2 they will have noticed a very huge personality shift post-R2 as she seems a little happier now, like a huge weight has gone off her shoulders and generally seems more relaxed but is also tense quite a bit. She tries to act generally the same towards those who weren't in the past rounds, but others might notice her actually chatting up the past rounders a little more than she normally would prior.

Also: anyone who is bringing in a duplicate of a character that was in R2 - I'd rather not have any pre-game CR with them until the game proper (or TDM, if any of y'all are TDMing proper) for awkwardness purposes, laughs.

AU BACKSTORY (rough):
Initially George thought he was abducted by aliens and did not agree with the intake interview, netting him about a week in an isolation cell. Then, he changed gears and decided that his best way to get out of here would be through gaining more freedom by cooperating.

In his early agent days, George was more openly disdainful of the organization, though he never disobeyed orders (in any way that got caught). Eventually, he stopped publicly expressing disagreement and worked his way up the Foundation career ladder. Having been the head of an anti-alien organization (and its military) in his homeworld, George is perfectly qualified for agent work and has basically done this career path before.

That's very plain, which is why I'd LOVE to add other characters in to spice it up.

PERSONALITY OVERVIEW:
George is an eccentric personality. His first description in the novelized version of Tsuritama is that he's a person who's "age, ethnicity and gender" appear unclear at a glance. He always wears perfect make-up and he always has sunglasses and a turban on.

Coworkers would know him as someone who is authoritative and competent as a leader. He's confident and a little condescending, but when it comes down to it, he takes his work seriously. He's a workaholic. His priority is always the safe-keeping of civilians, so D-class agents might have come to death under his leadership after he's ranked up. Generally, he avoids needless casualties though.

People who met him really shortly after arrival might have witnessed public displays of loathing for the Foundation, but in recent times he's acted as a perfect Foundation-loyal man to the public.

He's initially wary of any people who are non-human.

DESIRED AU CR: Coworkers in C-class, people who worked under him before, allies, ex-dates (????). GIMME STUFF. George is fairly emotionally secluded and I don't want to AU him too far away from that so all friendships would occupy this more-than-coworkers-less-than-friends sphere.

I'm thinking of making him Class C Agent.

He's not friendly, but he's not going to go out of his way to bully people unless they are interesting enough to him.

On missions, he won't go out of his way to protect anyone, unless they are certain people. He'll let people die, especially if they do something dumb. Originally, he probably egged people on to do dumb things/die, but over time he doesn't (unless they super deserve it).

Hit me up if you want to work on missions together or pass him by (maybe mistake him for Bani).

HEY Y'ALL. ITS YA GIRL FISH, purveyor of hedgehogs and hedgehog accessories and also Szayel. My pick for this round is Silver the Hedgehog, coming off the games this time because I want to include Team Sonic Racing ok ok. For those of you who don't know. Silver is a 14 year old telekinetic hedgehog and is basically the future trunks of the Sonic world -- a kid from a ruined future who frequently goes back in time to change things and is probably just making lots and lots of offshoot timelines instead, who knows. NOT SILVER, that's for sure! He means well, even if the time stream is begging him for mercy.

- Silver has been with the Foundation for a year, working primarily out of Site 1 in Michigan, but a few months ago (about a week prior to the start of R2) was transferred to Site 2 in Canada.
- He’s been very cooperative! After all, the Foundation wants to help people, right? However, his lack of commitment to killing means he remains a D-class.
- Despite that, he’s been sent on many missions, especially those concerning psychic phenomena and powerful creatures, where his psychokinetic powers shine.
- He is also sent after rogue agents — and may have killed a few. But he doesn’t remember. He is usually so upset after being ordered to kill that he has to be given amnestics to make him functional again.
- They keep using him though because he’s a very effective weapon :’) And since he’s not human, he’s considered even LESS than many of the other 6350s. YAY.
- Despite having seen a LOT OF SHIT, he retains his cheer… but it has dulled somewhat, leading to moments of despair and hopelessness.
- Due to his powers, Silver is very resistant to magical and psychic mind-altering effects… but drugs have a more potent effect on him. The Foundation has been experimenting with a drug that causes him to enter a berserk or fugue-like state. While under the effects of the drug, he is very susceptible to suggestion and following orders. However, the longer the drug effects last, the more uncontrollable he becomes. For now, a dose with an active time of an hour is considered safe.
- While not on missions, he wears a small headband that inhibits his powers, though due to his cooperative and friendly nature, it is usually turned off.
- In his spare time, Silver loves to garden. There are some outdoor gardens in Michigan that were once tended by him, and there’s a room in Site 2 with gro-lights installed where he maintains an indoor vegetable and flower garden.
- He makes friends with just about everyone.

Saki would have been mystified with him at first because the intelligent speaking critters in her world are uhhh very different and also do not have powers. I think she'd find him very sweet though and hopefully she has no idea what they're doing with him re: drugs because that's absolutely horrifying and something she'd add to her checklist to put a stop to, what the hell Foundation.

Hello this is Eski with James Moriarty, who was in the last round for a bit and in this round as an actual player even though he doesn't fit the time qualifications due to [PLOT DETAILS]. He's definitely the new kid on the block and just a normal D-class agent, officially considered a 'control' for whatever they're planning by everyone's favorite creepy clown scientist, Mayuri, who is absolutely the reason he's even there in the first place.

ANYWAY, Moriarty has definitely been around a LOT even in the small time he's been there (since May of this year!), and had pretty much hopped from site to site doing things like finding / hunting down SCP's, identifying rogue agents / maaaaaybe executing one or two and putting his fingers in all the pies. He's pretty good at it too, and most likely characters have either been chatted up by him in passing (he's a very friendly seeming british gentleman, after all) or potentially been on assignment with him as a more 'senior' agent to supervise.

Saki Watanabe | From The New World

Canonically from approximately 1000 years in the future, Japan. All people over the age of 12 in her society have psychokinesis, which they refer to as "cantus," and live fairly simple, rural lives - albeit aided by much of the past's knowledge of animal husbandry and then some, thanks to being able to manipulate genetics with cantus. Her society is in truth a rather darker, Big Brother Is Watching sort, and she's run into her fair share of troubles uncovering the secrets behind the curtain so to speak from a young age. By now however, she's settled in her place in society as a researcher in the health division, waiting for the day when she can claim a spot in a position of power and enact some real change.

AU:
✦ Arrived in May 2018, took about a month to learn everything properly, mainly the reading, writing, and technology. This means she started taking on missions in June 2018.
✦ She's been available for a variety of missions:
✧ Lab work, in which she can function as a researcher as well as use her cantus to transport items that cannot be touched, or otherwise perform tests utilizing it (by applying heat, pressure, etc.) She is not permitted to test anything that is human or resembles a human too closely, such as a realistic hologram or a realistic android.
✧ Containment missions, in which she can use her cantus to help trap, capture, or even neutralize SCPs. Once again, she is not permitted to contain anything that is human or resembles a human too closely, such as a realistic hologram or a realistic android.
✦ Probably promoted fairly recently to C-class? The fact that she isn't useful for missions involving humans put her behind, but she's still a good worker otherwise. She now works mainly in the labs and is less hands on unless her cantus is needed (or convenient for her to use). I'll nail down a specific time later.

Outside of missions, she can be found in break rooms enjoying tea or reading. She doesn't mind spending time with others, and will drink socially, though she never drinks too much and tends to excuse herself earlier in the evening. If she's known someone long enough to get past the point of only exchanging polite courtesies, she will probably vent about missions, but never in a way that directly puts down the Foundation; she will complain that she is tired, or that the mission was gross, but never say anything that implies the mission itself was a horrible idea. If introduced to texting, she probably writes like someone who is not familiar enough with internetisms to be too casual, but still uses emojis to spice up her messages. Someone please get her into texting, I'm begging you.

She looked into the beginning of her canon just enough to unlock some of her previously sealed memories, but hasn't looked past her "canon point." She refuses to look into others' canons to try to learn about them because quite frankly she thinks it's creepy and invasive, and will explain if asked that she would much rather meet face to face and get to know people that way. Please let me know if your character would have researched her, since they'd know a few things she's explicitly refraining from discussing!

AU CHANGES/ADDITIONS

IMPORTANT ADDITIONS:

-She is based in Site 1 (Michigan), but sometimes travels to other sites to transfer SCPs with her cantus or otherwise complete missions.

-During her first month or so past training, she was probably very touchy-feely in the sense that she'd often casually lay a hand on the arm or shoulder or whatever. Completely casual affection. It took her a while to adjust to a culture that's less big on that. Feel free to have dealt with this when she was in her newbie days, she probably apologized profusely if she noticed any discomfort.

-She does come from a society based on bonobos and as such, intimacy is the preferred way to blow off some steam. If anyone in her age group wants to have a history of friends with benefits with her, I'd be game; I'm just not interested in writing out any smut if that continues into the round (though fade to black is fine). She's also not involved in any actual romantic relationships so far.

CR ADDITIONS:
-Met Ryuji as he trained her on tech use. He's used to her casual physical affection, since she was still trying to adjust to the culture at the time.
-Met Ellie during her first few months and touched her without thinking, which became awkward because of Ellie's phobia.
-Since their breaks often coincided, Saki began ensuring coffee was ready for Goro on his return from missions, and they got to talking early on. After knowing each other for about a year and getting to know each other well, he finally confessed to the murders he'd committed; but having seen and assessed him all this time, she feels he's changed for the better here and still considers him close. He refers to her as big sis now, and she regards him as a younger brother figure.
-Met Silver during a test in which they were made to use their respective telekinesis on each other to see how they would interact. She befriended him afterwards out of concern.
-Has been put on containment duty for Nora's missions, as her cantus lends itself well to killing him quickly if needed. They started off arguing, but she's since realized she can bribe him with food for less collateral damage, and she listens to him vent about the Foundation.
-Knows Akira, likely through Akechi. They trade favors; her use of cantus in exchange for tips and strategies for keeping her teams alive. They've discussed things about her world, though she avoids going into too much detail.
-Worked with George as a team member on field missions, gained his trust and now splits authority and responsibilities on shared missions.
-Knows Atsushi from her reading breaks. They're a two person book club and they chat about books over tea. She eventually catches onto his mood dropping around full moon incidents, and after some particularly awful ones she begins making chazuke for him as it's simple and seems to do him a lot of good.
-She's done missions with Oda. Given the man's insistence on throwing himself into danger to protect the D-class under him, she's learned a few things about first aid just in case he ends up with injuries. She scolds him for it, but shockingly, he still does the thing.
-Met with Wheatley after R3 and was very confused about his... goat status. She accidentally got the rundown of Portal 2 and has no idea what to make of this.
-Tried to make coffee for Sandalphon and promptly got critiqued on it. She thinks he's a total brat, but she's grudgingly learning how he prepares coffee because it's so absurdly good.
-Worked with Karen briefly in the labs and knows her by sight. They got along well enough.
-She has met Vanitas and pat him once.
-She doesn't know Ingway. But he does know a few things about her.
-She's lukewarm on Alcor. He's weird, his questions are weird, and somehow he's invited himself to the tiny book club with Atsushi.

This is Giriko from Soul Eater. He's a chaotic evil scumbag who turns into a chainsaw and is so ridiculously loyal to a witch made of spiders that he's spent the last 800 years bodysnatching his own children to give himself a kind of parasitic immortality so he can continue to protect a woman who kind of treats him like garbage. Then the protags killed the witch and if you thought he was full of hate and bloodlust before oh boy

(Side note I'll probably be going with she/her pronouns because Giriko is a very... "I have tits I'm a woman now fuck you" type of person who is not inclined to think too deeply about gender)

SCP-wise, Giriko's probably been around just under a year. C-class, someone put her in charge of managing D-class agents on missions because she's actually got skills in that and just gets pissed off when agents die, not upset.

Her two big skills are making enchanted golems for grunt work/basic protection and also turning into a giant chainsaw (or turning parts of her body into chainsaw parts). Her hobbies are drinking, fighting, and actually that's about it.

She's got basically no personality changes because once you're an 800 year old man child fueled by hate you're kind of stuck there.

Atsushi Nakajima | Bungou Stray Dogs

Hey there! I'm planning to try and bring in Atsushi, the OU version. Some might have met the slightly darker version from the Beast novel, but this one is a tad different!

Atsushi is a (relatively) good person who grew up in horrible circumstances. He's friendly, polite and even a little timid at times-- but he's also painfully stubborn when it comes to things he cares about and not afraid to call people out on bullshit or punch faces when he has to. He's Seen Some Shit and lived through even more, but he's driven by a powerful survival instinct and a desire to help others initially rooted in his own incredibly low self-esteem and rather unhealthy coping mechanisms.

He was employed with the Armed Detective Agency in his world, so some of what he's learned there is definitely going to be carried over into his work with the foundation.


I'm completely new to SCP things, but this is what I have so far.

Name: Atsushi Nakajima
Canon: Bungou Stray Dogs
Age: 18 (maybe 19?)
AU:
-Probably on the newer side of things, the minimum six months. D-rank though a hard worker. Had some difficulty learning how to use firearms, his aim is terrible. Has some experience working as a detective, so he's decent at what he does... though he's committed to ending things without having to kill.

-probably mainly a field agent. Definitely been on containment missions and has his own powerset he's probably used on the job, which can essentially be summed up as 'changes his limbs into that of a tiger to fight and can regenerate'. regularly destroys his clothing doing this and has probably gotten some scolding for it.

-Homesick. Misses his friends and the Agency terribly. Probably reads a lot in his spare time, often in the break room.

That's the basics I've got down, anyway.

-Has been working as an agent for 6 months. Still D-class. Stationed in Michigan.

-He had quite a few struggles starting out, homesickness, learning how to use a gun properly, and most importantly, trying to learn to control his own ability without Fukuzawa stabilizing it with his own.

-After some initial wariness, Oda Sakunosuke eventually took pity on his abysmal performance and helped him learn to use a gun better. He's passable now, at least.

-That being said, the skills he'd learned as a member of the Armed Detective Agency do help him navigate things. Once he was out of basic training he was assigned as a field agent, due to his experience, combat based ability and innate regeneration.

-Has heard about the Other Atsushi and met him in passing. Isn't sure what to think about him, but low self esteem + sense of inadequacy definitely plays a part in his avoidance in learning more about him.

-Part of a bookclub with Saki, who has been looking out for him a little. They complain to each other some as coworkers and she tries to perk him up after full moons.

-Has been on Missions with: Nora, Karen, Gonta, George

-There's been at least one occasions on missions where he's killed other agents when he lost control of his ability. He was horrified and barely ate for a week after, and he definitely has some real innate fear regarding his own ability now.

-there was also another occasion he lost control on a mission, but no one died thanks to Nora's intervention-- he wrestled the tiger down until Atsushi reverted back. Atsushi was horrified and disgusted with himself, but grateful. Nora's still kind of a jerk though. There was a lot of property damage.

-has had to be tranq'd and locked up through full moons. It's highly unpleasant for him and brings back memories of his time at the orphanage, so once it's over he's generally drained, miserable and very quiet. Saki occasionally makes him Chazuke after since she notices he responds well to it.

-has also been aided by Azura with her magic, on at least one occasion. She lulled him to a peaceful state of mind through the full moon, and it was something of a relief for him. It wasn't as traumatic as the drugs so he was grateful.

Foundation time: Max, two years.

Probably the only known version of Akira Kurusu to qualify for C-class. He is willing to play ball with the Foundation if it benefits him. It's not any worse than striking a deal with a cheating god with control issues to reshape society.

That said, he's played his canon and checked out all the endings, plus looked up what people have to say about the endings, so the chance of him admitting he took the deal is Not High. Outside missions, he tries to maintain the appearance of a less selfish, more well-meaning Akira. He talks to people a lot, building his web of confidants, always open to a deal. A favor for a favor. He's very big on mutual benefit, you catch more flies with honey. It's just good business.

On missions, Joker is still the flashy, charismatic gentleman thief but he's ice cold to his targets and the fact that some of them are human doesn't seem to matter. He prioritizes survival as himself > civilians > his confidants > non-confidant agents. As for living SCPs, where they rank depends on how firm the Foundation was about wanting them brought in still alive or whether he thinks he can negotiate with them.

He's really only gotten harder and colder over his time with the Foundation, his distrust of other people, especially adults in authority, crystallizing further (salt crystals, clearly). But he keeps the cynicism and resentment hidden behind a smile and humor.

So by all means, give me confidants, people that have only met him in passing, people that sense what's really behind that smile and don't like it, any and all types of CR.

Yo this is Shini, with Sherlock Holmes/Ruler from Fate/Grand Order. I'm not participating in this round, but I'm throwing up Sherlock as a potential person characters could know/use in their AU history.

-Sherlock is known mainly by Ruler and is not contracted to anyone and has been around (counting for the island incident) eight months now.

-Would've been C rank if it weren't for Mayuri being buttmad that he shut down his Benkai. Otherwise, his record had been stellar until then.

-He did a mix of field and desk missions where he tracks down, seals, and sometimes eliminate SCPs, or recapturing ones that escaped from containment. Sherlock is always careful to make sure anyone he goes with comes back alive.

-While he has tried to maintain a cool, professional air he still looks out for other 6350s - manipulating paperwork or filers of paperwork when he can to get them out of trouble, and since returning from the island, anyone who had CR with him will notice he's a lot more personable and more openly showing emotion than before (and more likely to take risky movies - see above).

Age: Around 22-23 in canon, about 25 now
Rank: C class, been an agent for 2 years

Ryuji is almost an ideal 6350 recruit- he follows orders well, isn't dangerously powerful, and actually seems to believe in the Foundation. He spent his first year doing missions and showed a strong knack for leadership- he has a good record of getting his teams back alive and is very supportive of them. He has even taken punishments for them. And while he encourages people who want to move up the ranks to make things better for the 6350s, any talk of rebellion is shot down... or even reported.

Once he was promoted he moved on largely to training. In fact if your character has had tech training in the past year it was probably with Ryuji. He is mostly working on keeping the Foundation's servers secure, but still occasionally leads strike teams- he is known to be harsh but understanding. And fond of brutally ironic punishments for cruel behavior.

What was his life like before the Foundation? What is his SCP power? Does he ever smile? No one really knows.

Hey folks, this is Nyanka, not actually participating in this round but putting my characters up here in case anyone wants to include them in their AUs. First up...

Wheatley

In canon, Wheatley was a simple personality core who tried to help a test subject escape from an evil science facility run by robots, but ended up getting plugged into the mainframe, turning evil, and nearly blew said facility up with his stupidity until he got unplugged and yeeted to space.

He's been cooperating with the foundation for... What? Six months now? Two of those months were spent being stuck in the middle of a witch's game... And apperently one of them didn't understand how tech works so he died as a core mounted to a robotic body and got revived as a humanoid android with a goat's head like the one in the icon. Awkward, but it could have been worse.

He didn't get involved in the Great Mayuri Uprising of May 2019, but they mainly keep him busy with mindless lab work, office work, and simple missions because they can't trust a complete moron on dangerous missions. A bit annoying, but at least he gets to spend more time with his site 3 friends.

He's also 100% okay with people playing his canon. In fact, one of his hobbies outside work is messing around with the level editor and making death free tests for people to figure out. They range from stupidly easy to unplayable.

Gonta Gokuhara

Age: 17 (Birthday is 1/23)

Status: AWOL as of May 2019

Gonta officially joined up with the Foundation after R3... Which means he's been here for a year now? Don't let his looks fool you, he's a sweet boy who was literally raised by "kind wolves" and wants to be a gentleman. He's also an expert on bugs and will be happy to educate you on the nice insects, but at least he's learned you can be a good person and not like bugs.

He's been fairly cooperative but wishes the Foundation would stop trying to kill people. This, plus being incredibly strong and able to speak to animals means he's usually assigned to missions that deal with animals. Outside of work, he takes care of a bunch of madagascar hissing cockroaches and a living furby SCP he named Mew. He doesn't mind people playing his game and has looked up stuff past his canonpoint, but he explicitly warns people that his canon is a murdergame and that upsets people.

Unfortunately, he ended up following his former cabinmate Marisa to another world while everyone was fighting Mayuri, so he's kind of missing at the moment. If you want to plot things out with me before hand, you can contact me at Nyanka.

Andrusi here with Karen Minazuki/Cure Aqua, everyone's favorite magical girl of salt.

Karen is actually still a relative newbie, sneaking in with not quite six months of SCP history than would usually be allowed by virtue of having been in a previous round. She turned up in January and had a pretty successful intake interview, and went on to build a pretty good reputation for herself in both of her forms: Karen is always ready to lend a hand with your mundane problems, especially if they're filing paperwork, and Cure Aqua is a valuable asset in any kind of "let's fight things" situation. Probably she was well on her way to making C-class when the time came. She got along decently with most people, but wasn't really friends with anyone. Then R3 happened. A certain Witch of Dimensions looked at her and said "hey, a magical girl! and she's smart! this seems very applicable to the issue at hand" and whisked her off to R3, where some organization's agents, I'm not saying who, almost immediately scapegoated her and she came back as Vinea the eventually friendly demon but she was also hanging in Watanuki's dreams and blah blah blah. Everyone came back and suddenly Mayurifight happened and she was very aggressive about attacking the science clown and then she went to Foundation jail. Since then she hasn't been sent on many missions (though tbf it hasn't been very long) and she's feeling kind of bad about things lately. But hey, she has a girlfriend! And a robot mom! And she thinks she might have as many as two or even three regular friends now, too!

As before, magical girl secret identity magic applies, so unless people either have been told that Karen and Cure Aqua are the same person or have seen her transform they probably won't make the connection.

EDIT oh and break that fourth wall right open. Actually Precure has been a huge franchise since 2004 so anyone from modern Japan will probably be conceptually familiar even if they haven't seen it.

Backstory: (cw for mental health issues, paranoid delusions)
Note this is all liable to change as I haven't fully settled on Azula's backstory, but tentatively I'm thinking of plucking Azula from the end of a:tla, following her defeat at the Agni Kai with Zuko. She was pulled into the Foundation at a fairly unstable mental state. As such, she was initially categorized as a Keter class SCP due to her dangerous fire and lightning bending abilities and unpredictability secondary to her recurring paranoid delusions about Ursa. She was initially kept in an underground cell at a remote containment site in isolation where she was rehabilitated with regular administration of antipsychotic drugs.

Her rehabilitation was a slow on-going process and she was held in isolation for several months. As she began to regain mental clarity, she bargained with the foundation -- her freedom from the facility in exchange for agreeing to assist on various missions. Despite the foundation's initial belief that Azula was simply a liability that they would use until she died in an unfortunate accident, she is a natural prodigy when it comes to military conquests and battle tactics due to her life long training as Ozai's heir. She has been on many life threatening missions -- the majority of which tend to be assassination type missions due to her precision technique with lightning. She's known for being quick, efficient and causing minimal mess afterwards for the foundation to clean up.


Personality:
In brief: Manipulative af. Azula's shrewd, cunning and veeeeeery sneaky when she has her wits about her. In this AU, she's been knocked down several pegs from her usual arrogance, but if anything it's made her more dangerous as she now feels she has something to prove.

Desired AU CR:
Pretty much whatever sounds interesting? Haha. Sorry this is super vague, but really I'm up for anything, be it hate, grudging respect, maybe three quarters of genuine concern..... all of it.

Name: Yoshi Nanase

Yoshi here has been around the Foundation for over a year now, from May 2018 to May 2019 He's been working as a thaumiel in training due to his power to see everything as data and convert that data into something understandable, thus making it entirely possible for him to learn everything about whatever he's looking at. Likely from about May 2018 to October of 2018, he was assigned on missions that might have caused the deaths of some escapee agents, as his power is useful for tracking people down. He was pretty much fine with this and super loyal to the Foundation during that time, because it was "for the greater good." Since then he's learned better and started turning down those requests, though he'll still help anyone with pretty much anything they request as long as he doesn't see a way it could hurt anyone.

Pro tip: it's possible to get around that if you're cleverer than he is.

He's extremely good at tech and can in theory make just about anything using his power, and on top of that he's a total pushover and will do "almost literally anything" people ask of him, as long as it doesn't involve loss of organs or death on his part. Push him around! Bully him! He'll take it all with a smile. Since he came back from R2, he's been more genuinely friendly and caring instead of just kind of blanket helping anyone who asks.

Azura | Fire Emblem Fates

Canonically Azura is from Medieval Fantasy Europe, though she's been living in Medieval Fantasy Japan for the last 10-ish years. She's the archetypal Mysterious Tragic Maiden who ends up dying at the end of the game in 2/3 routes because of her Mysterious Life-sucking Power. I'll be taking her from very early on in the Revelation route, or possibly earlier before the route split. She's a professional singer and dancer and also a princess but It's Complicated. She's generally very go with the flow and easy to work with, though she keeps up a lot of emotional barriers and can come of as aloof.

AU:
- Took her some time to get used to the tech level, but otherwise she was amazingly cooperative and turned into a good little worker bee. She does....basically whatever she's told, though gross or hard missions do get a long-suffering sigh out of her.

- Anyone who's went on missions with her will have seen the extend of her Mysterious Life-sucking Power: she has a pendant that activates with a song, and when activated it can perform water magic. It's generally usable in a purification aspect, as she's calmed down dangerous SCPs with it. It can also dispel curses, clear brainwashing/mind control, and do spiritual exorcisms of a sort. However if she uses a huge effect or keeps using it without pacing herself, she gets covered in a weird purple void and is in incredible pain. Fun! This has probably happened a few times by now.

- All of her official documents list the name of her kingdom as block text or straight up [REDACTED] so please feel free to investigate that. This is bc there is a curse on her kingdom where no one can actually say its name or talk about it in depth without dissolving into water and dying. Double fun!

- Because being forced into a foreign land against her will and being made to cooperate is, unfortunately, something she's experienced, Azura has largely retreated back into her depression shell and not made an active effort to socialize.

Looking for CR:

- Anyone who would have taken it upon themselves to befriend a depressed songstress 8') although she's not a befriender herself, she is so starved for positive attention she will latch onto anyone that genuinely likes her. If you've managed to get underneath her layers of ice she is a really dedicated friend/girlfriend.

- Anyone who's gone on missions with her and/or is interested in investigating the Mysterious Tragic Maiden.

Okay everyone! Waku here, and I'm going to be trying to bring in Ellie Troit from Conception 2 and Round 2 for another run in SCP MG-land~ I gave her the maximum allotted time in Round 2, which was uh... 6 months apparently! So she's been around since... May 2018.

She's got a fairly wide skillset, so she spent a lot of that time being bounced around the Foundation on several varieties of missions. If you want to have worked with her before, go ahead! Like I said, she got bounced around a lot. The most notable point is that at some point during September, she stopped interacting with people as much... And then when the investigation of Hotel California ended, she became more open and cheerful again! Hooray amnesia for giving her a second chance at things!

...Actually, she's also been kind of obsessively taking on missions since the Hotel California investigation ended, so basically any time between the first week of January and now, if you've worked with her before, you'll probably notice that she's suddenly a a lot more motivated to do missions now.

...I have in fact been informed that she's actually going to be C-class as of this exact mission. Yes, this is going to be her first mission as a C-Class if she gets in.

*Ehem* Anyways, for bonus fun/terrible CR, Ellie has actually been on killswitch duty since September, yes. If you want her to have killed a canon-mate off-screen, she totally could have done that and you would never have known! Though she would be incredibly awkward around anyone that character would have mentioned since... Well.

So this is Ki, coming back for R4 with Leonardo Watch from Blood Blockade Battlefront/Kekkai Sensen. BBB features an insane alternate NYC that fused with the "Alterworld" (basically another dimension of monsters and other Weird Shit) and by the end of season 1 (his canon point just prior to intake) Leo has lived there for about 6 months. He became part of a group called Libra, which is responsible for policing otherworldly disruptions/crime that the normal cops can't handle. Leo tends to be anxious and shy, very self-deprecating at times, and can freak out loudly if he's terrified. At the same time, he's stubborn, loyal to his friends, kind-hearted almost to a fault, self-sacrificing for anyone in need, and just a genuinely nice person despite All The Shit He Has Seen.

While a normal human, Leo does have one incredible ability: he possesses the All-Seeing Eyes of the Gods, which have several crazy powers that would make him an asset to the Foundation: they can see through illusions, connect Leo's vision to other people's, distort the vision of others, and even see true names, to list a few. Since he's been with the Foundation a little over a year at the time of R4, he has a VERY useful power, and he's generally one to be cooperative to people he sees as knowing more than he does, it's likely he's just been promoted to C-class. He can discern the true nature of potentially hostile SCPs by looking at them, though he does risk serious mental or physical injury from looking too long at powerful artifacts/beings. He will always prioritize the safety of anyone he works with over all else, even his own well-being.

YEAR ONE:
-Arrived close to his birthday, for some reason, and from the December fight. Thanks, assholes
-Goro was a dick to basically everyone for the first 1-2 month(s), but it was that wet cat/"stay away from me, I'm terrible" kind of song and dance.
-Started following orders pretty closely and without any hesitation after that
-Got hurt a lot and was pretty fucking reckless - anyone with healing powers could have been on his team to patch him up! Those folks would have gotten a lot of weird looks
-6 months in, he was being a little more careful, but still pretty distant to anyone trying to be his friend
-He also nearly died around this time. It was fun
-Nearing the first year mark, he was starting to look a bit distracted, but never explained why to anyone
-Spent his birthday just sitting and looking depressed. Unless someone knew it was his birthday, it was never made known, shrug emoji

YEAR TWO:
-He began talking to Saki Watanabe! They began having coffee together, but he was still trying to keep an emotional distance from people, at this point. So, it was a lot of small talk with him planning to see how well he could use her in his goals, l m a o
-Deadly missions, near-deaths, etc. cont'd... but with him being a little more careful, for some reason
-Edging close to the two year mark, he told Saki about the murders he did, and retained her friendship????? He wasn't sure what to do with this. But, he did start calling her Big Sis. None of that managed to affect his cooperation with the Foundation. He was still working his ass off, still looking pretty loyal.

I'll be trying for C-class, since that's something he would ICly shoot for! Everything else is TBD after poking around on here!

Marisa & Sakura

both Marisa and Sakura are in the shop dimension at the moment, though they're both available for past cr!

Marisa is a witch from fantasy Meiji-era Japan, and a nosy thief with a love for explosions and rainbows. Looks cute and girly but has the personality of a rowdy frat boy. She has gotten so many fucking writeups for her behavior on missions because she just can't keep her hands to herself and won't stop touching the SCPs because what's the point if you just lock them all up, gosh. So she'd probably been delegated to paperwork duty in the months before R3 happened, and has stuck her nose into everyone's business. Do you want to be forcibly befriended? Marisa's your girl.

Sakura is a magus from 2004 Japan, and a quiet, shy flower-type who probably made a habit of cooking for the site residents every night. She has stupid dangerous powers that let her create giant shadow familiars and let her open a pocket dimension and harm/kill spirit beings inside of it, so she's been sent on neutralizing missions before, as much as she hated it. She's really very sweet, but withdrawn and obedient, so before R3 she was likely on her way to being C-Class before Clowngate happened and y'all attacked her poor noodle..........so she's rogue, now, bye.

Name: Mitsuru Ashikawa
Age: 12 (turning 13 on July 7th! Whoa!!)

Mitsuru is a D-class at Site 1, and one of the survivors of the Summer Camp Petoskey incident. He has cat-like eyes with a petoskey stone pattern to them as a result of his infection.

He tends to be fairly standoffish, and is only really close to others from camp. Skills-wise, he's an accomplished sorcerer and is almost always seen carrying a staff wherever he goes. On missions he usually fills the role of barrier maiden in that he can create a powerful barrier around people for safety; however, he can also provide offensive spells, including summoning various powerful creatures to his aid. He tends to do what is asked of him no matter how unpleasant, and his mood only really varies from complete detached business mode to annoyance. He'll respect you if you give him a good reason to, but he's not really here for the sunshine and friendship shtick, either.

On some occasions, he's left people to die simply because they were incompetent. He's never the direct cause, but if it would have required sticking his neck out to save them from their own stupidity, chances are he left them to their fate and focused on the people more conveniently saved.

Atsushi - he is rather infamous within the Foundation, as he has been responsible for over 100 deaths (mostly accidents during transformations) and is generally kept to site 2 outside of missions. He tends to get assigned to the very dangerous ones that have high death counts, but always comes back just fine from them. He's sometimes called 'the white reaper' and is a much gentler person than his reputation makes him out to be. He disappeared from November 2018 to January 2019, and seems to be in a somewhat better place since that time. Deaths during his missions have dropped dramatically since then.

You're free to have been on a mission with Atsushi, or to have seen him around Site 2. He's a bit of a homebody and doesn't go far when he doesn't have to though.


Red - Red has been with the Foundation for 16 years at this point, and was promoted to Thaumiel last fall. She is mostly off on containment missions that require her specific power set, but can occasionally be seen at various sites in-between work. She's generally friendly to most people, but will react negatively to certain people (namely, other copies of any of the campers who had died under her watch), so just drop a line here if you want to know how she reacted to your character. She's been involved in training Yoshi, so any of his CR would have seen her around at times.


Gabe - He actually only got out of containment recently, so he's been 'unavailable' for a few months. Prior to October 2018, though, he would have been around at various sites. He's a bit of a hardass, but he's a pretty competent leader when it comes to getting a mission done, so you're welcome to have your character have worked under him during a mission. He mostly ran infiltration missions, where teams snuck in, grabbed an SCP, and brought it back to the Foundation.

Szayel and Shadow

Szayel is a recently promoted B-class researcher that floats from site to site, including other sites besides 1, 2, and 3! He can open portals so he can pretty much be anywhere. He's been around for about a year and a half. Prior to Round 2, he was known for being completely horrible and ruthless, and being assigned to one of his teams or as a research subject meant real bad things. However, AFTER round 2, Szayel had a significant change of heart and is a lot more... understanding? And less likely to vivisect you. But only less. He works to help those who would seek to change the Foundation from the inside, though he does so carefully. He won't put himself or his rank at risk for pretty much anyone, though. Let me know if you want Szayel in your backstories!!

Shadow was at Site 2 primarily and came to the foundation about six months ago. He mostly kept to himself, though, and he and Silver were very specifically kept apart with no knowledge of one another. OOCly for playercest reasons but ICly because the Foundation knows hedgehogs can create time space anomalies if there's more than one of them around. He is no longer around and is considered a rogue agent to be captured and contained on sight as an accomplice of the Witch of Dimensions.
