R5: ghost hangout
[What's this? The fog of the miasma has pulled back, revealing a path down to the basement. None of the living seem to notice it though, only those who are dead are aware of it.
Down in the basement is a large furnished room. It doesn't seem as dusty as the rest of the house, and it actually seems lived in? Or...un-lived in, technically. But the lighting here works and there's plenty to do. Even if the ghosts might not need it, there's several beanbag chairs (brought in by one of the many groups of teenagers who have disappeared into the house), a large couch, and even a jacuzzi. Because even if you're in eternal pain, you can relax a bit, right?
If the ghosts look up, they'll see that the ceiling appears to be made of spider-patterned stained glass. Which is weird, considering that it should be floorboards and such. But the stained glass allows them to look up into all parts of the house and easily spy on the living. What they hear can be hit or miss, especially if the living are whispering, but seeing what they're up to should be easy enough.
Well. Might as well make the most of this space, right?]

Week 5 Trial Popcorn!
--Not that they know that, of course, but the ghost contingent is pretty wide now -- and of course, when the Vessel's away, the spiderlings(??) come out to play. Time to spread out around the jacuzzi and beanbags and whatever else and stare through our personal spyder spyglass into the bowels of trial chaos. ☆
Subete will be lounging against a wall. Back to his own wall-leaning ways because fuck it. Y'all better not be tantruming miasma all over our nice basement deathcave.]
They really are out for blood this week, hmm?
[Is he really qualified to say that.]

but it's easy for anyone to tell what she's thinking.
they better fucking get the killer because if they don't I will get my revenge somehow-

If you're just going to leak all over the place maybe you can take it elsewhere?
The rest of us are trying for a little more well-rounded schadenfreude.

[she snaps quickly without a single shred of hesitation, narrowing her eyes in an obvious answer.
there's more to it than her single word, feelings of hatred and despair and fury seeping through the shared connection because she's not bothering on disguising it.]

[His expression doesn't even twitch -- feelings of hatred and despair and fury have been pretty par for the course this week, given Ango's all of him, and despite all of his exasperation this really isn't his first rodeo with Extremely Intrusive Hiveminds. So like, Subete waves his hand again in a small motion--
It takes a moment or two, and it's fairly thin and light under the cover of all the miasma, but a barrier springs up that separates Rin from the rest of the room. She's now in miasma baby jail, enjoy that.]

And also basically turning the water purple with all the miasma he's leaking but it's fine.
(has he been here all night??? pruning points to yes)]

There's just a sigh at Sho turning the jacuzzi into prune juice. His nose wrinkles a little and he goes back to staring at the trial, which is somehow less unsavory.]
Get out of the jacuzzi, Minamimoto. We don't even have proper ventilation in here.

Sounds like they're rounding on Hikage.

He just laughs darkly, short and sharp. It's not especially amused, but there's something mocking in it all the same, directed who-knows-where.]
With their current level of deductive reasoning, a speck of dust would be enough to suspect someone. But of course, if he's that careless with his tea, then perhaps he deserves it.
no subject
Haha... You're a harsh one, Subete. [ Maybe he should try feeling sorry for Hikage? Except, nah. ] Still, a little burn mark doesn't mean much as evidence. They'll probably give him the benefit of the doubt and ignore it.
I know everything in trial is on fire but I have to transition to it somehow
2/2 (surprise)
This is starting to sound like an inverse of the last case. There was one person then, but there's most likely two now.
thank u for transitioning for me mandee
no subject
Ah.
[It's flat-toned as ever, though perhaps mixed with something else that's hard to place. one way or another, he doesn't seem happy about it.]
no subject
He's sure having a fun time.
[ Haku doesn't look like he is though. ]
no subject
Mm. It's difficult to watch.

[ Impossible, just impossible. Why did the raccoon like butter that much anyway!! ]
Anyway, I wonder who our other culprit is. What do you say we start taking bets?

Yes. For Giovanni's sake.
[Look, he was pretty fond of Soupdad, and despite doing a decent job of not bleeding emotions everywhere, he's been pretty pissed himself.]
They can focus on Hikage-kun later. They're just wasting time giving him attention.

The pool's closed once the culprits are revealed—besides, somebody here is a clear winner. The house. And as the host, I'm the house.
