R5: ghost hangout
[What's this? The fog of the miasma has pulled back, revealing a path down to the basement. None of the living seem to notice it though, only those who are dead are aware of it.
Down in the basement is a large furnished room. It doesn't seem as dusty as the rest of the house, and it actually seems lived in? Or...un-lived in, technically. But the lighting here works and there's plenty to do. Even if the ghosts might not need it, there's several beanbag chairs (brought in by one of the many groups of teenagers who have disappeared into the house), a large couch, and even a jacuzzi. Because even if you're in eternal pain, you can relax a bit, right?
If the ghosts look up, they'll see that the ceiling appears to be made of spider-patterned stained glass. Which is weird, considering that it should be floorboards and such. But the stained glass allows them to look up into all parts of the house and easily spy on the living. What they hear can be hit or miss, especially if the living are whispering, but seeing what they're up to should be easy enough.
Well. Might as well make the most of this space, right?]

but it's easy for anyone to tell what she's thinking.
they better fucking get the killer because if they don't I will get my revenge somehow-
she is
seeping
in
rage.]

If you're just going to leak all over the place maybe you can take it elsewhere?
The rest of us are trying for a little more well-rounded schadenfreude.

[she snaps quickly without a single shred of hesitation, narrowing her eyes in an obvious answer.
there's more to it than her single word, feelings of hatred and despair and fury seeping through the shared connection because she's not bothering on disguising it.]

[His expression doesn't even twitch -- feelings of hatred and despair and fury have been pretty par for the course this week, given Ango's all of him, and despite all of his exasperation this really isn't his first rodeo with Extremely Intrusive Hiveminds. So like, Subete waves his hand again in a small motion--
It takes a moment or two, and it's fairly thin and light under the cover of all the miasma, but a barrier springs up that separates Rin from the rest of the room. She's now in miasma baby jail, enjoy that.]

[wrong. answer.
and a barrier is also a wrong answer, because Rin is sick and tired of feeling trapped, of dealing with things that seclude her from the rest of everyone else, from the people she used to care about and is slowly slipping into fits of jealousy and rage.
hence why she pulls herself in as she whispers words to herself, in German - a bright purple glow appearing on her arms and legs as she uses her own negative emotions as a replacement for mana to make an attempt at destroying the barrier from the inside with her fists and legs alone, having strengthened it by quite a bit.
of course if that doesn't work, well...
...she always has other options.]

[Honestly, she was probably late to the betting pool due to these stupid barrier shenanigans, so that's absolutely fair. He wasn't looking to answer anything -- but maybe he's just letting off some steam as well, all this miasma and negativity and all the ridiculous grudges of the mansion crystallizing altogether. Subete, after all, never needed the help of any ghost here to be what he is.
The first barrier splinters and cracks as Rin batters against it, but he just hums and quietly puts up another. This one is smaller, though, slightly less robust. There is somewhat more miasma swirling around it, messing with its composition.
Does she need other options, or is she going for the gold in the barrier battering Olympics?]

[and it isn't even satisfying in the slightest bit.]
[not at all]
[but rather, the anger is there, regardless, muted as it is because she is immediately trying to gandr the next barrier. she can go on with this stupid little game and throw a tussle if she has to]
no subject
Most splinter at a glance now that gandr is in the picture, though some hold up until the next layer of barrier appears. Nevertheless, if Rin is trying to move towards him or elsewhere in the room in all of her miasma-leaking glory, she's certainly succeeding. If the aim was to get some miasma-mandated exercise, they're the both of them doing admirably.
It's not enough to simply be basement dwellers, after all.]
Not bad. If only you'd had this amount of vigor while you were alive.
