28 people - all teenagers or preteens - woke up at a summer camp in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It quickly became apparent that this was not a normal summer camp, and instead served a more sinister purpose - one that became clear once a few of their number died off, and the killers and victims came back as Zombies with a particular stone in their wounds...
Over time, the Campers learned that they were sacrifices in a ritual to appease a 'god' - a sentient mass of coral under the ground. They learned that the stone itself didn't even want this, but was afraid to tell the organization it had been in contact due to what they were capable of doing. The Campers also learned they were so easily sacrificed because they had been made by a machine that took from fictional media in the world - yet they were convinced they themselves were real, even if their bodies weren't.
Ultimately, they learned that the organization that had brought them here and done all these things were called The Foundation, tasked with keeping the rest of the world safe from the beings that lurked inside of it, threatening humanity and modern civilization. Seeing their only way to survive, the Campers were able to make a deal with the two agents that remained in the camp, get back their dead from the Stone, and become Agents for The Foundation itself.
Yet, more of their kind - people taken from other worlds and treated as 'disposable' - were still being generated as fodder for whatever The Foundation needs...
Two months later, two agents from The Foundation were sent to investigate a sentient hotel that can travel to different locations - and it isn’t long before the organization loses contact with them.
A group of 30 agents were dispatched to the location to uncover the truth about the missing agents. At the same time, a certain man - Kurotsuchi Mayuri - had the agents serve as test subjects for a memory-regaining drug, so that they were not even aware that they were Agents as they walked into the Hotel's halls.
What they didn’t know - along with their purpose - was that they were walking into a death game. The Hotel California was sick, and the cause was one of the missing agents taking refuge inside of her brain. The quickest way to save herself was to fight poison with poison, and at the behest of a cherished friend of hers, she set the game into motion.
Three monsters were let loose within the Hotel to take over three of the agents. While they all had different motives, they were all helping the Hotel to kill the other agents until the source of the sickness was taken care of. The victims came back as ghosts, and found the other missing agent amongst them.
Both the remainder agents and the ghosts worked together to take care of the monsters and fix the Hotel California before the Hotel died or The Foundation took action. They managed to bring out the missing agent, and acquire new bodies, in the form of gigai, for the fallen. Some agents made the choice to remain at the hotel, while others returned to the Foundation determined to change the fate of those like them, and perhaps shake the foundations of the very organization itself.
However, it’s hardly the end of this tale. Outside of this world, two Witches of incredible power met and argued, and the previous friend of the Hotel - the one who had said, with Certainty, that to play that game would cure her friend - intervened before they could seriously hurt each other. Instead, she offered to teach them how to play a game...
Meanwhile, A price was paid to that same Witch of Certainty, and the previous Campers and the Agents from Hotel California were invited to become spectators to the game she was teaching...and the game the other two witches would be playing.
The game that taught the two witches how it would work came and went in the space of two weeks. With that accomplished, the real game could begin. The Witch of Misfortune and the Witch of Dimensions were at a stalemate… One Witch wanted a new identity and took on the appearance of the formal Dimensional Witch, a dear friend of the current one. The other Witch didn’t want their friend’s face or identity stolen or erased from existence.
So, they had a board and the rules, but they were missing the pieces.
One by one agents of the Foundation went missing until a total of 23- no, 24 went missing. They found themselves on an Island with goatmen, a mansion, and a mystery to solve. They were the pieces for the Witch of Dimension and had to come up with a theory to beat the Witch of Misfortune version of events at every trial.
Over time, they uncovered the truth of the game. What really was at stake and the story of the Witch of Misfortune. Together, they figured another path she could take and helped her reclaim her old identity with a new title: The Witch of Fortune.
They were returned to the world, but not to just any place. They were brought back to Site Two, where the formal Campers and the agents from the Hotel were gathered to watch the events unfold. They also returned to a trap…
There, that same researcher from before - Mayuri - worked behind the scenes of the Foundation to progress and learn everything that he could, was waiting for them. Using knowledge based on his experiments on those taken from other words, he sprung his trap, hoping to capture the Witch of Dimensions.
With the help of the agents there, the Witch of Dimensions escaped. The group who rose against the researcher were interrogated, released, and put on probation, though not without a price. The Foundation would remember their acts of treason, and use it to go forward with another plan they had already waiting.
You see, The Foundation was already planning on a trial for those who were brought from other worlds. The history of blood and danger that the 6350's caused in the past was growing resentment and criticism among many of The Foundation, and it was felt they needed a single piece of proof to be the final nail in the coffin against the 6350's. So, a trial was planned - and quietly carried out.
They took volunteers to participate in a game show, but they weren’t told that they would be playing for their lives.
However, all was not lost. Little did the Foundation know that the game was hijacked by a rebel group that wanted to give the agents a chance to show the world that they should live. They disguised one of their own as the host and kidnapped the true host of the game, intending to make sure that everyone knew how disposable the Foundation treated the 'fictional' agents.
Through deadly game shows and trials the group’s numbers lowered, but they didn’t lose hope. They worked together to get to the bottom of the situation and used it to their advantage - directly in front of the cameras that were intended to record their failure. They showed to The Foundation - to those who may not have even known the situation - that all the 6350's deserved to be treated better. In the end, they even managed to do the impossible...and Rectify the previous wrongs.
There was a change that rippled through the world of the Foundation and those who were watching - a feeling that things had irreversibly changed for the better. No longer would any 6350 be treated as if they were a disposable pawn to be used and sacrificed at will.
...But. Wherever is bright light, there is always a shadow behind it.
All 6350's were affected due to the change - including a certain researcher who had been climbing the ranks, and was only kept in place from a higher position due to his origin as someone created by the machine SCP. With that gone - and the knowledge that an O5 seat was empty - Mayuri was put in the position to become an O5 candidate. If he gains that kind of power, certainly...many people, 6350 or otherwise, would suffer from his insatiable curiosity.
But all was not lost. A single light of hope remained - if they could discover what happened to the previous O5 that went missing - Tages - then they could stop Mayuri's ascension by either returning the O5 to his rightful place, or by confirming his death and counterpicking another O5 candidate.
Once again, the agents from camp, the hotel, the island, and the game show must come together - to figure out what happened 20 years ago, in an incident that started the trend of all 6350's being treated as disposable beings. An incident that was forgotten by all for most of those years, now being revealed though the singular recording that still remains of it...
