Yet, you're not alone. For all of you (except Szayel), a young man appears from behind you, his face set into a firm, yet sad, scowl. His shaggy strawberry blonde hair is pretty eye-catching, along with the black and white Shihakusho he wears and the large sword on his back, even as he gently tries to lead you back into the lobby and away from what was once your body. You can still clearly hear and see the living, if you want to try - but they can't see or hear you.

'Welcome to the world of the dead in this Resort,' he says, quietly. 'Looks like you're stuck here with the rest of us.'

He hands you a tablet, just like the one you had before. "You'll need this if you want to keep talking to them,' he explains, looking sad.

It looks like you've passed on, and yet...You still feel like you have a role to play in all of this.]

[ Did you know that death fucks people up and it's only when she realizes that she isn't in her body anymore that she finally finds herself trembling, shaking, really — as she crouches and curls into herself.

It's finally over.

She doesn't have to be strong anymore. She can just simply cry, and cry, and continue to do so before words finally choke out, cracking. ]

[ She laughs and cries and it hurts; she wants to just shut herself in again. That's fine, isn't it? If she did that, it'll be fine.


Inaba should just simply go back to being alone. She was always alone, so going back to being alone works. She doesn't need anybody. She can just be here, crying until she can't anymore. ]

[It was him, he was the one who was killed for his role, so why is Inaba here now? It doesn't make any sense.]

she's still in tears when she hears his voice and she's kind of unresponsive and shaking so there aren't any words for him just yet ]

[ That actually catches her off guard enough that she actually raises her head a little and finally looks at him, and her eyes widen and her voice cracks, just a little as she speaks, even as her voice shakes. ]

[And as she cries, Ichigo instantly goes to his knees, wrapping her up in a hug, practically shaking along with her.

He'd had to watch the entire thing, and while he'd thought she was brave - so very, very brave - her reaction now makes it clear that she was putting on a front the entire time.

But - he promised he'd always be there for her. And - now, he is, in the flesh, long hair and scars and all.]

[ It's a surprise to see a face she doesn't recognize hug her, but then it's when she actually feels it that she realizes that she knows who it is and she's just going to cry once again. ]

[He'll just let her cry - and try to keep from crying himself - as she clings to him, placing a hand against the back of her head.

There's a major difference now, though - he's warm, and she can feel and hear his heartbeat, steady and clear.]

[She didn't even hear him yelling, and he just -

hates how powerless he is. How scared she had to be, with that.]

[ Her voice shakes in spite of herself, but the warmth is a strange comfort that she can cling onto and keep herself close. ]

It's not your fault. I made the decision to go out. I decided not to run. You don't have to apologize, it's all me.

[Yoshi stayed up because he expected to meet with Akira tonight.

He wasn't expecting anyone else. And he especially wasn't expecting two.

He hasn't even recovered from the revelation Shirou's arrival brought. So, when he spots Inaba, his breath catches in his throat and once again his mind races for answers he know won't come, solutions that are useless, worthless impossibilities.]

[His voice is so very small.]

. . . hey. [ She's still crying and in tears and still hurt over everything but she manages to actually choke out that single word. She didn't want to see him again. And definitely not like this. ]

[Two. Two with roles, one... someone he tried to befriend, even if he wasn't any good at it. Slowly, as if in a dream, he walks up to her....

And sinks to his knees, throwing his arms around her in a hug. He's shaking a little, now, concern and sorrow once again eating at his core.]

[ EVERYTHING SUCKS RIGHT NOW but she will take the hug and while he might be shaking, she can't notice it too much because she's trembling as well, even as she tries to put a brave face.

Tries being the key word. ]

[Szayelaporro is well put together as usual, wearing a crisp white outfit that would be unfamiliar to those who only saw him alive. He has his notebook and his purple pen]

I'm here to conduct my post-mortem interview. Are you available to speak?

[ She bristles a little bit at the sound of her first name, spoken without her permission. ]

I am, [ her voice is quiet and less shaky, but there's no emotion to her voice. ] but depending on what you ask, I might not answer.

[his smile remains ever serene because bitch he don't care.

But at her response, his smile fades a little]

[ Somewhat clipped: ] And I seriously don't care right now.

Inaba...? [ flat looks at inaba crying with an expression that's between that of confusion and slight panic. he doesn't know how to deal with this at all and he has no idea how to comfort her. ] Uhm-- uh... welcome to the sort of afterlife! [ MAYBE IF HE ACTS HAPPY SHE'LL BE HAPPY ]

[ BITCH, YOU THOUGHT. . . and hearing the familiar voice causes her to barely lift her head, her eyes red and puffy from crying so damn hard and she's just trembling and holding herself close because. Nope. There's no happiness to be found here. ] . . . thanks. [ Even her voice seems hollow. ]
