Dreamland (round 3)

[A strange house of some sort sits in the pitch black nothingness that exists around it. For those just now wandering in, they will be drawn to the building, finding it lit up in a way that it should not be. It's as if the whole area- house, yard, fence, and giant sakura tree- all give off their own light, and the newly-arrived are drawn to it like a moth to the flame.

Inside the boundary of the yard, the familiar faces of those who have passed on already will greet them. Depending on who is asked, they might give an accurate explanation. But even if they don't, one thing is clear: you don't want to leave this place. The area outside feels Dangerous, and it is probably best to stay put.

Fortunately, the house is built in an old style, and there are many rooms to explore. One room on the second floor seems locked, but the rest are open to explore as desired. The standard rooms are easy to find: kitchen, a W.C. and a bathroom, a sitting room of some sort, and a couple bedrooms (with plenty of futons for the dead to use). There are also several tatami mat rooms with nothing in them currently, but it seems like there might be some use for those rooms.

Around the house, perches for birds can be found. No birds are on them currently, though.

Sometimes Watanuki can be found in the house, but most of the time the dead will be left to their own devices. The question is, what will they do here?]

MONDAY - ENDGAME PREPARATION

[The last week is here, which means it's time to tie up all loose threads. And that means letting everyone in on his grand plan to save them all.

And there is one really, REALLY big loose end that needs to be tied up.

A loose end that is currently in the yard, prodding at the closed gate.]

Come on, open up already! They gave me plenty of energy, I should be fine to wake up now! Why are you being so stubborn?

[Erhard's out of bed, though he still looks on edge as if he's expecting trouble at any moment. After seeing everyone else, he's clad in a black yukata covered in red butterflies, as well as a pair of tabi and black-thonged zori.]

Maybe it's not the energy that's the problem.

Did you forget to give yourself permission, boss? [ That's a terrible joke but hes making it anyway. Natsuno's in a relatively normal outfit today. Outrageous hair accessories not included, but he does have half his hair pinned back with a silver kanzashi.

He'll fly up to see if there's something blocking the gate and neither ignore nor acknowledge Erhard's presence. ]

[Again, thank god for small favors.

He steps forward to try tugging at the gate himself, mainly to see if there's any give at all or if he can sense anything. He's no spiritualist, but since they're in a dream, who knows?]

[He stops mid-sentence and just. Looks around at everyone.]

Why are you all dressed like that?

[Also there's nothing blocking the gate, it just looks closed.]

[Wheatley hasn't got the memo, because he decided this paired with toe socks and sandals was appropriate to wear around here.

Bad fashion aside, he's poking his robot head out the door and glancing worriedly at the gate.]

Uh... What's going on?

A couple people gave me energy, probably so that I could return to consciousness. Which was very kind of them, and I probably owe them favors too, but there's not much I can do when this door won't open!

Oh, bloody hell.

[Time to go investigate the gate...]

[Anon wanders by wearing the black version of this bright-ass thing and his hair up in a high ponytail with a yellow ribbon -- everything swishes when he turns to blink at their current gatekeeper.]

[Well. What if he just. Tries staring at the gate in a shinigami way, does that tell him anything. Might as well put Ichigo to work.]

Anon, this is my dream. Even if I did lock this gate with a key, I could easily just make another one that perfectly fits.

[ He just gives a soft sigh and shakes his head. ]

I'm not sure who'd do that.

TUESDAY - things fall apart

[Shadow is perched in the tree, looking down into the new koi pond, watching the fish. Wait, not fish... a reflection of the mansion.

Specifically, the beach, which is crumbling away into the Sea of Fragments]

... Hm. That's less than ideal.

Oh. Is that what we were swimming in the whole time? That’s interesting.

[He does seem a bit concerned about this?? Mostly thoughtful, though. Just a little pleased, in some weird way.

Okay, let’s move to full thoughtful now.]

We totally broke it, huh...

No. If you had been swimming in that, I wouldn't have to deal with you right now. Or ever again. The Sea of Fragments will swallow you whole.

[Shadow leans back against the trunk]

It's possible that the game board has simply outlived its usefulness and is disappearing.

[I don't know, that's probably the cue for the crystal ball to go wack. Great. Hm.]

--I guess it is the stuff in the crystal ball after all! But the Game isn't over, is it?

[ Dad plz. Speaking up from where he's laying on his stomach staring into the pond. There's probably some mumbling about him bouncing off the sea if he followed but that's not important. ]

Maybe. Nirrti doesn't seem to have been around to gloat and be loud about it, though.

Are we all gonna die if that thing sucks us up?

Not just die. Cease to exist. [Shadow seems unbothered by it all. HONESTLY HE KIND OF CRAVES NONEXISTENCE ANYTHING IS BETTER THAN "ITS A SMALL WORLD"]

WEDNESDAY - rats on a sinking ship

[Shadow is more than a little antsy. The past few days, he's either been up in the tree, or on the roof -- avoiding everyone for fear of biting their heads off in his frustration, and causing Watanuki distress.

Today, he doesn't really want to look at the koi pond any more. The Sea was threatening to swallow the island whole, and he was stuck in a dream, unable to do anything.

He's grabbed a blanket from inside and spread it on the ground near the tree, but out of view of the pond. There's a bucket of ice with a large bottle of sake in it, a few other bottles of other kinds of booze, and some hanami-inspired snacks.

The 'hog himself is starfished out on the blanket with a stick (judging from a plate of dango nearby, probably from that) in his mouth and staring up at the tree and the dark sky]

Fuck.

Seconded. That shit using my body was literally watching everything fall apart with popcorn yesterday.

[Go for it. Shadow grabs his cup and dumps it into his mouth while still starfishing on the ground]

If the Sea catches them, not only will your bodies be swallowed up, but I'm fairly certain the concept of "Goetia" that Nirrti has impressed upon them will disappear, too.
